Neil Young went waaaaay too far left, what a freak.
Adam I don't disagree that Neil's setlists can be a chore…
But Cortez the Killer is a very well known song, off the classic 1975 album, Zuma. You were lucky to see it, imo.
Yeah Honestly I kinda feel bad for old artists that are still making music such as Bon Jovi Metallica Neil Young ACDC etc because everyone wants to hear "Living on a Prayer" "Enter Sandman" "Heart of Gold" "Highway to Hell" but its like "u guys realize we still make music right?" and IMO Bon Jovi still makes good music too.
Brock and the Unfortunate Blood Clot was my favorite book as a kid.
The canucks basically traded Beauvillier for Zadorov
Totally with Jesse on this – oilers in 6
Oh Stamkos is gone gone.
Rangers in 6, stars in 5
Boston played Stay Away by Nirvana. Not Lithium or Smells Like Teen Spirit, like you usually hear in arenas
As someone from Chicago. I’m glad you weren’t able to put ketchup on your hotdog
Let’s take it from this perspective if I’m going to a Metallica concert I expect a little bit of every album give me some kill em all garage inc black album even a few songs from load and reload and nothing from st anger but give us a little of the new stuff don’t make half the show the newest album and only that
The amount of mistakes these guys make constantly is just insane.
Steve: Edmonton got lucky!
– Vancouver had 0 shots for the last 3 minutes…
Steve: Hyman scored the game winner.
– RNH scored the game winner.
It's not once in a while. These guys constantly make mistakes like this. The game was less than 24 hours ago. Did you even watch? If not, why are you reporting on it? Genuine question.
These Wendy's commercials are like going to a Neil Young concert and only getting to listen to Vampire Blues.
I hope Neil Young will remember a Toronto man don’t need him around anyhow.
I saw Petty's last concert in Toronto. Gotta go if you get the chance.
When I saw Noel Gallagher at Budweiser Stage in 2019, I liked that he did 4 Oasis songs at the end of his set. Everyone knew it was coming and stood up for those songs lol.
If I went to that concert, I would wait until after Hey Hey, My My (my fave Neil Young song) and then throw my ketchup-less hot dog at the stage
Minutes 49-57 was score effects
Minutes 57-60 was how they’ve played all season in the DZ. This team is different. 3rd least shots against per game in the playoffs (to Nashville and Florida). Skinner went 3-2 despite being an .880 goalie. This team is LEGIT. If he shows up / if Pickard shows up after game 1… this team has a CHAAAAANCE!!!
The Canucks played the first two and a half periods like they were defending a two goal lead and it was bad They also kept overpassing, going from good shooting positions to bad ones. Garland felt like the only guy who wanted to shoot the puck on net. Mikheyev is where good plays go to die. A buyout would be the best option for Vancouver, unless they can trade him to a team that isn't going anywhere with a lot of cap space. You can't have a player with zero finish on the top two lines and he's got too big a salary to be on the 4th line. He was brought in to be an elite penalty killer and he hasn't even been that this season.
I think the guys are forgetting that singlehandedly Tanev shutdown Mac almost the whole series and very well could do it to McDavid or Draisatl possibly too
Perry came out for games 6 and 7, he’s just too slow now. Carrick has speed / can win faceoffs / is a PKer, he came in and that was better
Oh, If I was on a Neil Young- concert my primary goal would be to watch and hear Cortez the killer being played.
Even Neil Young disapproved of Adam ditching Game 7 of the 2nd round: "No Hits for you!".
The Neil Young section only made me think of one quote: PLAY JAJA DING DONG!!!!
the preds just cleared more than 6m in cap space. precursor to a marner trade?
to nsh – marner, robertson, timmins
to tor – saros, evangelista, fabbro
Thank you Steve for the shady rays!
Ismo Lehkonen (the father of Artturi Lehkonen) is a former coach and current studio expert commentator on finnish tv. He was on the finnish nhl broadcast during colorado cup run when his son won the stanley cup. The reason he doesn't coach anymore is because he is too old school.
Neil young has 4-5 great acoustic songs. ALL of his rock songs are terrible across the board. He is awful live. His voice and 95% percent of his music is just horrendous. I’m sorry but he sucks.
Pete DeBoer has been in 5 conference finals in the past 7 years. Thats wild
Allan Walsh would tell you that you don't get these problems with a Springsteen gig.
The Oilers series I think goes 6 or 7 I don't know what's the outcome of it all in the end but the Oilers are the underdogs and I'm an Oilers fan :/
This episode has made me realize why I love these guys. They each in their own way represent a part of my personality.
Buy out Kotkaniemi before July first and cap penalty is 800k/year if I remember correctly. Try finding a trade that gives better return than that.
Concerning Neil Young… My favorite artist is a guy whose live sets are almost exclusively comprised of unreleased, live-only songs. You can only hear them live. And it is by far the biggest draw, the biggest reason to go see him. People lose their absolute crap over it. I think only wanting to see Neil Young to hear the same tired songs he's been playing for the past four decades and not being receptive to his new music is pretty lame
I would also miss a Game 7 (most game 7s) for Neil Young.
