It sucks that situationally, sometimes people need a change of scenery or contracts don’t work out, because tbh this is a solid team

It’s not yet time for Dostal over Gibson. Gibby’s been our #1 goalie for something like nine years. Dostal was just a rookie.

There are no players in this that I dislike. I’m always gonna root for them in some capacity.

The ones that really sting to me are Shea Theodore as he was young, but we did not think he was going to turn into what he was. We needed to give up something for the Vegas draft, and it ended up being a mistake.
The other one is that we had both Rakell and Wild Bill. Team decided they could not keep both and got rid of Wild Bill, now neither are on the team.
Montour feels bad, but he wasn’t great with us and floated around a bit till he found a home with the Cats and has thrived, if he doesn’t get there, he may never reach his heights.
Manson and Hampus hurt but we needed to get bad, to get the guys we got and they did not want to sign, so you rotate them out.
The big thing to me is that we do good with D, and good at getting like second line centers. Our track record with wingers and superstar centers is lacking but that is in part a bit of luck.

Important to note if we kept guys like lindholm, Manson, and rakell, we likely wouldn’t have tanked enough to draft Leo plus our first this year but it’s a fun excercise either way
