Ok seriously, not one single person from management has even hinted a Marner trade or that they are going to move on from the core.
Just because fans are calling for his head doesn’t mean they will do what you want. Seriously the only thing they said is they need change and want need to win, that could be legit anything.

He might not put up the points like he used too but he’s consistently been one of if not the best guy in the playoffs for us. From throwing the body to digging the puck out and creating chances out of nothing. Him in the IIHF tourney rn is just another reason why he shouldn’t be going anywhere. Ppl just hate on him bc he’s getting slow, he’s still a better C than some team have on their 1st lines.

Why would the leafs change anything at all? The fans are so used to losing now that it doesn’t affect their ticket sales or revenue, the leafs will always sell out arenas and sell alot of jerseys. This team will look the same next year and continue to flirt with the 2nd round of the playoffs for the next 10 years at least

trade Marner not a priority, two top priorities = 1A top-four right shot D man Pesce (with Brodie money), & 1B a center for Nylander (vs. Holmberg!!) C. Stephenson (with Bertuzzi money). next a 'reliable' goalie, Talbot. then resign Domi and Lyubushkin.
Marner for Saros and (Shenn I hope) only MAKES SENSE. If Askrov is ready why pay Saros big money and Nashville needs a big offensive talent and he’s that. Both players agree with an extension and Nashville seems like a place Marner and his wife would love tbh
@1:55 — nahh Steve, that TOTALLY seems like a huge answer and an insight into how Berube's thinking about his time in the present but also the future as Toronto Maple Leafs head coach. Absolutely loved what he had to say, to some it might 'seem' like a very little thing, but I think it's tremendous. We need a coach who's in the moment, reacting to situations exactly as they happen, being confident in his choices, and using all the information at his disposal to make the right decision for the team. I'm already loving what Im seeing!

I would rather have someone who is new in Leaf management just acknowledge and say "Yeah, I've seen this team suck and blow it year after year from afar. I'm here to put a stop to that mind set and change the track record". Instead of sugar coating and all this fluff. Hopefully something changes.
