[Benton] No surprise the Kraken have worked quietly on the head coaching search, but a name surfacing as a darkhorse candidate is Dean Evason, a league source tells KJR . Evason spent the last 5 years as head coach of the Minnesota Wild, let go on Nov. 27. Is 147-77-27 lifetime.

Evason has had a pretty good regular season record given the roster he was given in Minnesota. He also helped a number of Minnesota’s prospects grow into NHL producers.
Bonus points for looking like Creed Bratton.
I’d be pretty down for this.
I don’t think we’re going to make a head coach decision until after Bylsma is done with Coachella’s Calder run. Just being honest. Because despite his past NHL performance and whatever people may or may not think of him, he’s earned a shot to interview within his own organization. And they’re not going to do that this close to the Calder Finals when they want him focused on that…
I hope they are casting a wide net with their interviews. Even if the job is Bylsma’s to lose, hearing what other people think about the team is always a good idea.
