What a difference watching an all canadian match up and then watching this. Might aswell have been a regular season game 😂 no motions from either crowd or caster…
That is now 4 games on the bounce that the Rangers have been utterly outplayed and dominated apart from Kreider for a small section of the third period in G6 against the Canes last round. It's embarrassing to watch that lack of fight and heart. There just seems to be no desire at all. The only positive about that game was that the Rangers were that poor yet the Panthers only managed to score the one proper goal. If the Rangers get their attack going it could be very different but right now I just don't see where it's coming from.
Sean McDonough rarely brings any energy or excitement. It’s just not good enough IMO. Seems like he, Bob Wischusen, Steve Levy, and John Buccigross are the main play by play guys for ESPN. Since ESPN has the coverage for the Final this year, if they pick Sean as the main play by play over those other 3, it’s the wrong choice, no debate. I know we were spoiled with Doc from the NBC days, but what we have today feels like a pretty decent downgrade for US broadcasts. In the new world of TNT and ESPN, TNT generally has the better play by play, commentators, and all around production. I think one reason for that is because TNT hired many analysts straight from the NBC hockey crew, where ESPN used many of their in-house analysts and commentators who have historically had much less experience covering hockey.
I live in Fort Lauderdale, 20 minutes from the Panthers. Finally this game was not ruled by the refs or "gambling money" finally at this stage of the game we can see some real Hocky, let the players do what they do best. This will be a good series to watch. I'll be at all the Panthers games!
