Not remotely a surprise, he is an excellent coach and will get you to playoffs and since we’ve all learned from multi hockey media sources this week that unless your name is Scotty Bowman you never win two cups with two different teams as a coach unless it’s like the 1940’s, and you usually win it with your second team; so Keefe will now win a cup because that’s just Leaf things.

He’s a good coach. Obviously still has things to learn though, but he had the toughest starting job in the league, being the head coach of the toughest market to play for that had cup ambitions. I wish him luck, but just not too much luck.

I think it’s funny that Keefe gets fired and rehired in less than two weeks and Woodcroft still doesn’t have an NHL gig after being fired a month into the season. Not because I think he’s bad or anything. But I bet if you asked most NHL fans they’d say Woodcroft is a better coach.
