How important was Bouchard for the Oilers in this series?

TSN Oilers reporter Ryan Rishaug and TSN Canucks reporter Farhan Lalji join SC with Jay Onrait to discuss who the key players in the series were, how Brock Boeser’s absence was felt in Game 7 for the Canucks, how important special teams were in the series, and if Quinn Hughes is at all to blame for Vancouver losing this series.

  1. Better than Hughes! Got to the playoffs then just decided to quit when the team needed him most.

    Quitt Hughes šŸ’Ŗ

  2. Fun Fact: Oilers were playing as many BC born guys than canucks had Canadians on thier team.

  3. It looked like Quinn Hughes had a lower body injury. He could clearly not use his legs in game 7, Hughes was barely being able to play at all. He was definitely not the best Hughes at all. You Canucks will be a playoff team for a while ā¤šŸ˜Š

  4. LOL remember all the people who were pissed that the Oilers missed out on Noah Dobson. Worked out just fine for both teams.

  5. I don't think Demko in net would made any difference. Silvos was AWESOME in this series!!

  6. I strongly disagree that Hughes deserves any blame. First he doesn't get deployed with the top linemates relative to Bouchard and also even if he does they are not mcdavid or draisaitl.

Also when you say he was facing bottom 6 fwds, he's not a forward, he's a puck moving, play driving, play making d men, he't not a goal scorer. This team has severe lack of finishing and you illustrated that in your highlights.

  7. Bouchard is 3rd in points for the Oilers in the regular season and playoffs..more than Hyman has for his outstanding season. How about that!

  8. Game 1-6: how can the Oilers beat Vancouver's superior depth?

Gane 7: How are the Canucks gonna create any offense without Brock Boesser?

  9. McDavid is making all these players a LOT better.
He completely mesmerizes every opposing player, and his set-ups are simply incredible.
    MVP.
