  1. Well, the series happened exactly how he said it was going to and the Eilers will win tonight like I said they were going to the Canucks have always been the bottom feeder of the NHL and yet Vancouver I'll keep going and watching them and paying money to see them even though they'll never win a cup. They're not a playoff team the flute getting into here they should turn around and do a fire sale and get rid of 90% of their players.

  2. The only thing worse than Edmonton scoring is being forced to see the faces of the Edmonton fans

  3. Canucks fans better pick a new team to cheer for next season. The Canucks organization are a disgrace as a whole. There is a reason they have never won a cup, and never will. The problem starts with the ownership, then GM, coaching, then players.

You've got an owner who cares more about his Tweets then the actual team. He constantly makes provoking tweets like "oh, the regular season win for the Canucks is like a playoff win." He probably makes these Tweets to fulfill his childish behavior, knowing that angry fans will respond to him. That aside, he fired the whole management team recently because they failed to rebuild the team. So what does he do? He hires Jim Rutherford as the president of hockey ops.

Rutherford's plan? Don't go for a rebuild. Go for a cup or bust team. Rutherford quoted himself in a phone interview that he plans to win Vancouver a cup in 5 years. Way to go! Repeat the same mistakes of not committing to a proper rebuild. You can't build a playoff team without the core team going through many years of playoff failures together. How are you going to do that when half of your roster is free agent this summer?

Then the problem moves onto coaching. Rick Tocchet. He has had one good season with the Canucks. And now all of the season he is a god in Vancouver. Lets not forget, he only won one playoff series so far. And this is his only season with a team with a winning record. He talks about "accountability" all the time. Yet, at the most crucial game 7, he chooses to give the players that haven't done crap the top line. Whenever there is a coaching change, all NHL teams get a spark and go on a good run. That doesn't mean the coach is necessarily good. But next season is where Tocchet is gonna lose the room when his team starts performing poorly because half of the team will be different players.

Finally, you have a problem with the players. The skaters in particular. There is no excuse why an NHL team can only get 16 shots on goal in one game. There ZERO EXCUSE why you have a 4 minute powerplay and can't put a single shot on goal. ZERO EXCUSE why you only have 2 shots in 1 period. The reason? The Canucks have locked themselves into the playing style of passing the puck back. When they have a clear path to the net, they pass the puck back to the blue line and shoot. Except, it always gets blocked. When they have offensive zone time, they keep cycling and cycling the puck. Except, the Canucks can't cycle. They get out muscled and lose the puck. So despite offensive zone time, they don't get a single shot on net. This style of hockey just loses you playoff games.

The goaltenders on the other hand, have given this franchise every opportunity to win something. Roberto Luongo. Thatcher Demko in Game 7 against the Golden Knights, except the shooters couldn't score. Funny enough its the same story here. Silovs doing all that he can. Maybe they should let Silovs take a few shots because the Canucks skaters clearly can't.

The approach the Canucks organization has taken as a whole for the past decade has been like the Leafs. "Get a good enough team to get into the playoffs to make some money and get fans excited". All while never actually winning anything. Only thing that makes the Canucks a little better is that they still have had more success than the Leafs despite less playoff chances.

People act like it's a good thing that the Canucks "are supposed to be the underdog team". NO. They are not the underdog team. They are a team that has had the past 13 years to rebuild a team properly and squandered the opportunities to. Being the "underdog" team doesn't mean anything if you don't win.

The ownership has ruined this franchise for good. Only way they ever win anything is if new ownership comes in or the team moves to another city.

You wanted a cup or bust team Rutherford. Well you got busted. Congratz.

Enjoy golfing Canucks! For the rest of the franchise years to come.

Well deserved win to the Oilers. Canucks are pathetic.

  4. If I had a nickel for everytime Cody Ceci score Top Shelf To open scoring in game 7 with the edmonton oilers, I'd have two nickels which isnt a lot, but its weird it happened twice

  5. So exciting!!! Wow! I am a Ducks fan but for the first time in my life I’m rooting for the Oilers! It has been exciting watching them since they picked up Carrick, Perry, and Henrique!
