Not really a surprise. You don't go from being on a 120 point pace at the halfway point to that horrendous cold streak for no reason. But you gotta wonder why they didn't just sit him to rest up like they did with Lindholm.

Oilers fan here, so I don’t really care. But if this was my expensive player, and it was January and he had a knee injury, and we were in first place in our division by a large margin, I’d probably say “yeah dude, take time off and get healed”. Literally what was the fucking point of playing injured right to the playoffs you were guaranteed to get into? So stupid
But but but this can't be. Underperforming Canucks team with 3rd string goalie takes the mighty Juggernaut Oilers to game 7 and almost rallies to win? If the Oilers were so much better how is it possible for them to under perform and still be in the series?
Yeah let’s protect princess Elias and not take him to task for his absolute failures and awful cold streaks as the best scorer but when Miller signed his extension it was condemned as one of the worst of all time. The Canucks will now pay the price for overpaying good for petey
