thanks for doing these sir from Montreal but in SC so not much hockey although we do have the Carolina stingrays in the echl , great old time hockey
Petterson probably didn't want to be taken out of the lineup up coaching didn't want to take him out of the lineup because though they were in a good spot at that time that could change real quick. A team can have a long losing streak or a bad month and be right out of it. Just ask the Pens
Laine clearly needs change of scenery
A coach who trust him as a powerplay player
And a setup man like Voracek for 5on 5
Laine to habs be interesting, maybe the passion of the habs fanbase wakes him up to what he is, or he becomes nothing like Pajaarvi.
Too much risk (and $$$) tied to Laine, no way they get a 1st +

Leafs need to find a way to get: Brandt Clarke, Logan Stankoven, Josh Doan, Zachary L’Heroux, Beckett Sennecke, Sam Dickinson
NO way do I want Stammer on the Leafs.
Laine is so clearly a negative value asset. If he were put on waivers no one would touch that contract. The idea that CBJ would get an NHL-ready young D and a first is absurd on its face.
I don't see Landiskog returning.
It didn't make sense for that kind of a presser.
I think Gabe might be doing more harm to the Avalanche by being out as once he's reactivated, to me it'd create more problems.

Ya, I can't see Stamkos coming to Toronto if Tampa stupidly let's him "skate", I just don't think he's interested in the Leafs nuthouse atmosphere. I'm still astonished they took McDonagh back at that contract???? "Ya but they got a smoking 4th rounder"!! D'OH!
THAT very well could be why they lose Stamkos, and if that turns out to be true, I have one question WTF!!??

Hronek thinking he’s worth anything close to $8 mil a year is absolutely asinine. Guy is a bozo, Detroit moved on from him, he’s nothing special at all. Lots of guys will look good during the regular season beside Hughes.
Petterson wasn't under contract at the time, so based on the negotiations aspect he probably didn't want to sit or be listed as hurt ???
If Montreal goes loco and takes on a player like Laine (personal baggage) when they just moved 1 out I wouldn't want them to trade up Struble. Harris maybe.
I don't see how Stamkos gets more than 4yr 5m on any contender. He brings a ton of leadership and winning pedigree but he is 34 and regressing.
Stamkos should go to Nashville, they have the cap space and pay him.
Great Video, as usual, Mike. I don't know about Patrick Kane going back to My Chicago Blackhawks. I think, that, it's less likely, especially given the fact that he originally left. Let me know what you think
It's sad to see the whole PLD & Laine situations. I agree with you about the fact that The Winnipeg Jets, by default, were the likely ultimate winners of the trade, however, when it had happened, it looked like it was The Columbus Blue Jackets that had one, especially since, initially, Roslovic was playing well & seemed to be A Benoit Hougue Sleeper inclusion (as when The Islanders got him, along with Pierre Turgeon in The Buffalo Sabres in The Pat LaFontaine Trade). However, it appears that neither of them technically won, because of Laine's issues in Columbus & Pierre Luc Dubois being in LA. Let me know what you think
