Five players who are falling in the Islanders prospect pool

Who are the five players who are seeing the lowest growth rates in the prospect pool for the New York Islanders? Can we justify the drop? Or is there something to be worried about?

  1. Can Islander fans realistically expect any of the following cracking the Isles' line-up next year or in Sept. 2023: Holmstrom, Koivula, Durandeau, Adams, Jenkins, Bibeau, Coskey, Newkirk, Iskhakov, Dufour, Raty, Hutton? A lot of that may have to do with how the Isles' season goes over the next month and whether the season becomes a retool or even more of a dismantling of the older vets. Do you anticipate any spots available in the Isles's line up next year for prospect or free agent signing?
Take care Mitch and stay warm..hope that's a fleece lumberjack shirt as some -25+ weather is on the way!

  2. I just want to point out that points are meaningless when you have a 6'4" 220 lb defenseman who can skate. Bolduc proved as a 19YO he could keep up with AHL level players. We still don't know the extent of his injury or how much it's holding him back… but barring really bad positional mistakes I think he'll recover to be a top 4 NHL D for the Isles… If they promote Salo they will need another LD on the PK and Greene and Z will have to retire eventually. Spoon might help them next year, but I'm not sure they'll expend a season of mentorship with him or MVS. Bolduc has the size and hockey IQ, he just needs to get through the Bridgeport bootcamp.
Pelech had 3 goals in his first 105 AHL games… and he started at 20YO. Don't count Bolduc out just yet.
