My only concern is all the difficulty scoring and finishing scoring chances. It’s clear that our defense is great but our goals have been weird ones this series if the team can finish on their scoring chances we’re golden

  2. Damn it, I really wanted to have a 2-0 series lead going home. Oh well, I have tickets to Game 3 and hopefully I’ll see a win in our own barn in my first ever NHL playoff game. Vamos Gatos.

The Dooming is insane. This was never going to be an easy series. The Rangers are extremely good and we took one in their house. Onward to Florida.

Rangers fan here, all I wanna say is thank you for not repeating game one because holy shit was that a snooze fest and I couldn’t watch more games like that. Game 2 was an incredible game start to finish. Anyway fuck you and best of luck moving forward, see you all game 7!

Didn’t think we were allowed to lose in OT. Oh well, great game. Gotta get more shots off in Sunrise. Kittens in 5.

Our offense feels kind of stale. They get good looks but miss the net on a lot of them (Reinhart especially going back to Boston). Bennett and Tkachuk are asleep offensively and Bennett is a non-factor since the Marchand thing

I know you can’t win every game and I’m not worried in the slightest, just sad.

  8. I know people are probably tired of seeing others bitching about this, but it does bother me quite a bit that the Cats’ successes are so often written off as luck or flukes and opponents’ (especially O6…) are due to skill and talent.

My observations: unless Barkov, Reinhardt, and Bennett show up to play, we’ll not get through this series. Bennett looked really slow out there. Chucky didn’t look much better. Are the Rangers really that much faster? It’s a playoff game and the forwards need to play better. The only forward I thought really stood out was Lomberg.

Think I would like to see Lorentz draw back in and swap out Cousins. Lorentz had some big moments for us this playoffs.

I know everyone is complaining about the stagnating offense, but I didn’t think that was the problem. When you play against New York, they force you to play their way, which is guaranteed to have a final score that hits the under. I thought the Cats played great, and puck luck just wasn’t on their side, though the penalty differential definitely didn’t help, and their slow start kept them tied all game.

Bennett up a line, Lundell down a line, take out Cousins and put Okposo back in, Carter up a line and Tarasenko down a line.

Swaggy getting put back with Barky may be unpopular after tonight but it’s clear Tarasenko doesn’t have his shot right now and having two legit snipers on the wings with Barkov is needed, he’s doing it all right now

We’re not sweeping this Rangers team. We won a game on the road, very important.

We had plenty of chances to take the lead during the first 60 minutes and missed the net.

Reino has gone ice cold, Put Lundell back on the third line.

Sucks guys, we’re back down to 5 fans now

Not ideal but if I was told we’d be going home 1-1 I wouldn’t be too upset. I’d rather up 2-0 but I’ll take the 1-1.

Just left the garden. All 10 of your fans were there. Does it make you angry when you’re reminded that you’re a completely fake and irrelevant franchise?

  17. IveGotAMicropeen

Shit happens, all about the bounce back

    Were fine

  18. UnhappyReach

Man I really wanted to end today 2-0

Still, a lot of hockey left.

  19. AdministrativeTea695

As a rangers fan I know this is subjective right now. I genuinely feel bad for how irrelevant and soft your fanbase is. It brings no joy to the matchup and as a fanbase, you’re pathetic at best.

  20. Hell of a game. Cant fault the team. Proud to be bringing it home 1-1.

  21. Devils fan here – obviously rooting for the Cats! Just so impressed by Paul Maurice. You can see why the panthers are so good.

Watched his postgame presser and he’s in there joking with reporters and giving a candid reaction to a great hockey game. You can tell he’s very comfortable with the way his team is playing and confident in the future results if they keep up the same process.

Not the type of postgame comments you usually see from coaches after an OT playoff loss.

The origin story of how a Sharks fan became a closet Panthers fan

The owner of the Panthers tipped me like 6 grand a few years ago. My wife is also from Florida.

This is the year for the cup. I feel it

I’m excited for the 3PM start on Sunday, these 8PM starts always mean I have to stay quiet while the little one sleeps lol

It’s human nature to let down the adrenaline after you get the first game on the road. It’s also human nature to play your best game in the Rags situation. While the Panthers didn’t look as polished or fast tonight as normal, they played a really gritty game and almost pulled off 2-0 on the road. I expect the Cats to look like the faster, sharper team in a day and a half. I’m glad the Cats are home for this short turnaround (even by hockey standards).

  25. Ranger fan here. Paul Maurice is funny af!
Great series so far & I’m sure the rest will be as tight

  26. EverLarry13

We dominated them. Just couldn’t get the puck in the net. Great goalkeeping for them. That being said, fk them! We’re better and will win in six!

  27. Jaxson_GalaxysPussy

Didn’t like they outplayed us in OT. But it’s not like we got blown out. A couple bounces and puck luck we win. Overall I liked how we responded to the turned up physicality of the rangers. I just worry with us on home ice. It’s not like we’ve been dominant on it.

  28. Equivalent_Course170

Disappointing how reino missed the net after barkies amazing set up. Bob played great we’ll take the next one

  29. gabmar1713

i think it was a great game. we each had plenty of chances. honestly as someone who has tickets to game 3 I’m okay with this loss since i was not the most optimistic of us going 3-0. cant wait for Sundays game

To the doomers, this game was so close to ending 2-1 or 3-1 Panthers. Barkov had a shot in close that was labeled for the back of the net. Shesterkin’s stick shaft barely deflected it to the crossbar. We won games 3 and 4 hopefully and put immense pressure on NY in the garden in game 5.
