@Vancouver Canucks

Are the Canucks making a big MISTAKE here??

Filip Hronek responded negatively to a question by Jeff Paterson and we talk about the Vancouver Canucks media availability and what they should do in the off-season after getting eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers in the playoffs a few days ago.

  1. Canucks are not going to get too much for Hronek. Maybe a pick and/or player for his RFA signing rights. Canucks won’t match whatever offer he’s going to get and teams won’t sign him unless they get his RFA rights first.

  2. Tanev is not the answer. He’s old, he’s got lots of defensive liability (Stars games show him being lame in his own end), he’s the best at screening his own goalie, etc

  3. He got 48 points for a supposedly offensive dman. That is not a good number. Average at best. And he mostly played on the top pairing with Hughes. No way Canucks should pay this guy more than their captain who is a way better offensive dman. 5-6 mil at the most and that's pushing it. Hughes doesn't need him. Hughes can play with anyone and still get his points.

  4. The Red wings have this internal sal cap. Dont pay the D more than what the Lidstrom get. Why does he think we'll give him more than Hughes even that Hughes is being paid undervalue

  5. I know the players for the canucks where taking alot of body checks on them & the check on them too. But the Canucks should keep them all they will bring us to playoffs next year. I had to think about players of the Canucks they did good for us in the playoffs they were talking alot body checks. So sorry Canucks for be mad when you guys lost . You guys did really good in the playoffs. I hope you all stay with us the Canucks.

  6. Hronek is a pylon defending, honestly Hughes isn’t that great either, they both puck watch like crazy are rarely take the man. But Hughes play driving is elite, whereas Hronek not even close. I can’t justify keeping both, and so the choice is obvious haha

  7. so wrong. Right handed d men who have a bomb of a shot and can move the puck just dont grow on trees. replacing him isnt easy, not saying we should pay 8 mil hes not worth that, but yeah not gonna be easy to replace a right hand dman.

  8. I say , Trade him and , concentrate on the big Z .. You can not pay him more than QH . Lindholm is too expensive as well ,,

  9. The million-dollar question a journalist should ask Hronek: Are you willing to work within the team's salary cap issues to keep the core together and remain in Vancouver?

  10. They should trade up Cole, dude was defending whenever the Canucks got scored and did a terrible job helping silovs during the playoffs

  11. They should of signed him for term once acquired, dont play him with hughes all season and try to sign him after.

  12. If I was Vancouver I would trade his rights before July 1st. He made almost as many mistakes as Cole did in the playoffs

  13. I'm all for letting him go. Salary demands will start out at a certain level and go up or down. There's no way I'm paying him more than 6.5 at the most. I AM however, paying Zadorov a cool 5.7 per year. I AM paying Joshua 3.6 per year, I am paying Myers 3 per year. I am trading Mickheyev with a sweetener to dump his salary.

  14. I’m fine if we trade Cole and Hronek, keep Big Z and Lindy, and find some better d men. D Petey might have his time to shine when he’s ready

  15. Mattias Ekholm of the Oilers is making 6.5M per year, Filip Hronek asking 8M is no where near as skilled. So in my opinion Hronek should be traded to make Cap space to sign other UFA's & RFA's.

  16. JP is an idiot – who does he do media for? Hronek, this year with Van was an overall plus. His response was how a Czech would reply. If you know any Czechs ask them- to be expected. Is he worth the money the media says he is asking for? Well is that accurate? Hronek, is a very good hockey player. How much to be paid is a different story, I don't pay 8 bucks or whatever for coffee

  17. Hi im an Oilers fan but GM sounded like he wanted to change things up abit, which is needed to be a serious cup contender, as much as I don't like him, Zadorov, Joshua and Myers and probably Silovs would be the top resigns, Lindholm maybe, but depends what the GM wants to switch up, too many euros on the team.

  18. If it's not an injury, then it was poor reads and he doesn't have a big shot. Then why would the Canucks pay for what's he's asking? If he's like that with his team mates, get him out of the locker room.
