Too tough to make a top 5. In my opinion it’s a top 7-9 but even then there needs to be another list of those who created ever single style and that list is what I would call the titans.
KRS-One, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, LL Cool J are the titans. I feel like I’m leaving someone out but basically every rapper after them has a combination of these guys style.
Someone like 50 is a Kool G Rap and LL Cool J. Tupac had LL Cool J too but a strong KRS-One ability. Jay-Z is definitely a Big Daddy Kane and a twist of Rakim.
