The positive is its only 2 to 1 and the panthers still haven't played their best for a full game. Time to bring lorentz back up in place of cousins. Lorentz has good size and digs pucks out well. Noticed a cpl times cousins got shoved off the puck along with a few other panthers. It's funny how cocky rangers fans have gotten after the last 2 games,but had to be talked off of the ledge after game 1. Long series was expected and planned for by the nhl. Both east and west will most likely go 6 or 7. Go Cats
Brutal loss. Only solace you have is that it's only 1-2. We were down against Boston early as well.
The Panthers have played idiotic these last couple games. Letting in back to back goals, getting scored on short handed, and having multiple games stolen in OT. If the Rangers win the cup, we will never hear the end of it.

We don’t know the oilers or stars will match up with either the panthers or the rangers. But in my opinion this should be the final these have been the best two teams all year
Uggh i hate the rangers.. This was a brutal loss. The rangers played horrible and still beat us.. i got a really bad feeling from this loss, I think the cats are out of magic here

Bob has to do something about those top shelf shots. Cant just let everything over your shoulder go in. It's not all his fault but having a .783% game is unacceptable at this stage. Also Ekblad needs to be gone after this year, dude skates like he's got cement shoes.
Yeah series over rangers in 5 the cats will get moved before they even breath on the cup but hey enjoy June off jaws and think of rebrand ideas after the team moves to Atlanta or Montreal

Panthers are not playing their game. Wheres the stifling D and heavy forecheck we saw in game 1??? I feel like the Cats are trying to beat the Rangers at their own game and that will never work – they need to get back to the D first style that made them so hard to play against !!! The Panthers are also losing the goaltending battle , and the D is pinching WAYY too much, leading to breakaways and odd man rushes. This is not good – if they can play their game then i think they can tie it up, if not then the Cats wont win another game and this series will be over FAST. I gotta give credit to NY, they have been the slightly better team – they finish their chances, the Panthers cannot seem to. The Cats not playing with enough urgency. Maurice said post game that he needs to remind his team that it's 2-1 NY in this series, and that they need to get on it already – theyre playing too cute. If they dont win the next game, i think its pretty much over.
PS: Get Ekblad off the damn ice, he is a liability – get some younger, fresher legs out there.
And Jaws, you called it – this was a game where defense was NOT. a priority …

I agree bench Tarasenko – and bench Ekblad while youre at it. Both are useless.
Theres a reason Zito got him so cheap – hes washed. Zito didnt "fleece" Ottawa, lol – this is who he is. Give Samoskevich or Sourdif a shot – or put cousins up there on second line and put Lorentz on fourth line.

I meant what i said – i will burn all my game worn and team issued jerseys live on YouTube if this team loses the series because of poor effort. TIME FOR A BAG SKATE, MAURICE!!!! Why not put in Stolarz….
Observations from a Bruins fan: First – I hate both teams and want both to lose. Second – Florida is not as nasty as they were last year. It looks like they are playing gentlemen's hockey. That's not a recipe for success. Third, Tkachuk needs to be a force, he's had chances but hasn't been putting them in. Rangers will trade chances with you, you need to bury them.

I’m so glad that Swaggy is now the 1st line, I think Vladdy has not been it on the 1st line. I think the main issue that I have is with the defense and Bob with all honesty. I all 5 really want Stolarz to play game 4 in all honesty, I’m not one to hate on Bob like most people but I think it’s time to play Stolarz and give Bob a break. I’m more annoyed than disappointed than anything else with the last 2 outcomes.
Jaws I feel your pain but once again before this series started Maurice switched Lundell and Bennet. Worked Game one but was not efficient. This game I said in the live chat put Bennet with Tkachuk and we saw the real Panthers come to life. I hope he sticks with it and they come to play on Tuesday and stop giving up these breakaways. I still believe in the Panthers we are not out until we lose four.

I think the boys are gonna be absolutely pissed on Tuesday, got a good feeling. I’ll bring some positivity for Kyle at the noon show, it’s much better to be overly confident than miserable watching sports.
Brutal. Not that I feel like we deserved to win this game after the abysmal defense the first two periods. Tarasenko does not belong in the top 6. He should be on the third line or on the bench. If Maurice doesn't move Cousins up to the second line (I doubt he would) I would like to see Rodriguez there instead (to fill in for Verhaeghe moving to the top line). If Tarasenko were to be benched and Cousins is moved up, keep Rodriguez on the third line and put in Lorentz. I'm pretty sure Lorentz is the only 4th line player on this team that has scored this post season. For the love of god keep Bennett and Lundell as 2nd and 3rd Center respectively. As for our defense, once again, Forsling is our best defenseman by a mile. Seems like the Rangers have figured out that you need to shoot high on Bob. If Bob doesn't make any kind of adjustments to try and cover those shots, I'm not entirely against starting Stolarz.
The Panthers are trying to beat the Rangers at the rush game. That will never work. Panthers Defenseman are pinching too much. Especially with Ekblad being so darn slow. Rangers will trade chances with us all day, we will lose this series if that keeps up. We need to tighten up the defense to be more what it was like in games 1 and 2 (although we did give up 3-4 breakaways in game 1).

This game falls on defense and Bob I’m sorry to say. Bob has been a absolute wall for most of the season but you can’t allow 2 goals in less than a minute Shesterkin is making the timely saves and it’s paying off when the games are this tight. I still have faith in the cats but if this is the effort they’re gonna put forth we’re in big trouble. Let’s win game 6
I don’t have the energy to write a 2 paragraph soliloquy on how bad we are playing at times. Specifically, the defense. EkBAD can't be gone soon enough. The effort is vomit enducing sometimes. 🤢🤮🤮🤮 #GOCATSGO 😭😭😭😭
That second Lafranieerre goal was a thing of beauty.
What's most frustrating is our boys are out playing the Rangers. Our top guys are showing up and producing. Our depth guys not contributing. Honestly the difference really is goaltending. Series isnt over and we better hope Bob finds his clutch gene. He's looked pedestrian at times and its cost us.

Not gonna lie – its refreshing to see Panthers fans realize what Rangers fans experienced last season regarding Tarasenco. There is a reason why the Rangers did not resign him.
This series is far from over, of course I’d love my Rangers to win in 5, but this Panthers team is ferocious. ngl I’m scared going forward, I hope we didn’t poke the bear
Still lots of hockey to play, but the pressure definitely is on Panthers now. It's a must win game 4 for Florida, just like game 2 was a must win for the Rangers. Neither team will come back from 2 games down.

The Rangers stole this game, I disagree with you it was not a bad effort by Florida it could be easily a 3 nothing series lead for florida, please try and calm down remember it's just a game it's not worth your peace. Florida vastly outplayed the Rangers so keep your head up!
It's just such a shame. We're both playing really good. I feel like we've generally outplayed them every game, but the rushes are killing us. We're doing a good job stopping their pp, but the quick rushes are the main reason why they've just stolen 2 in a row from us. We need to make adjustments to fix our defense against the rush and I think we'll come back in the series and win.

I expect a Michael Jordan like push from the Panthers in game 4. They gunna take these two L’s personal and emotionally take it to the rags in game 4. Yes this loss was more deflating due to the defensive lapses and shorties. But the resolve to get it to OT was a good push
My Rangers definitely stole this one. Still a lot of hockey left. I am not willing to say the panthers dont have magic left. Both these teams are too good.
