Miro Heiskanen is the BEST Defenseman in the Playoffs

Miro Heiskanen is the BEST Defenseman in the Playoffs

I created this video show that Miro Heiskanen has been the best all round defenseman in the Stanley Cup Playoffs so far. Heiskanen currently leads the Dallas Stars in points in the playoffs, which is very impressive. If Heiskanen keeps this up, the Dallas Stars will have a very good chance to win the Stanley Cup. He could also be one of the finalists to win the Conn Smythe Trophy if Dallas does win the Stanley Cup.

  1. Moro is nasty , yea that is true. Always has been. But you are sleeping in Tanev. We are here bc of Chris Tanev. He owned Nathan mackinnon and jack eichel for two series straight. Miro is out there doing miro things but that’s pretty much what’s expected of him now. It’s nothing unheard of. Tanev though. Man he’s gotta be the best defensemen in the postseason by a mile

  2. Tanev proven ability to shut down the offense is why he was acquired. miro has been freed up to be a def forward. tanev's ice time minutes and plays is key to stars success.

  3. Us Stars fans know how good he is. Offense for him is just a bonus. He is so good on defense and makes it look effortless. Plays the point on power play. Absolute stud.

  4. As an Avs fan I was getting really irritated at Tanev. He made a much bigger difference in that series.

  5. Tanev is one of the greatest deadline pick ups for Dallas cause he allows Miro to play Miro’s defense. Miro will be a future Captain

  6. I don't think Miro is underrated, he is just really quiet. If he were to be on the market he would be one of the highest paid defensive-men of all time.

  7. Evan Bouchard is a better D man than Heiskanen. Bouchard is a plus 10 with 20 points, Heiskanen is a minus 2 with 13 points. Stats don’t lie.

  8. Disagree, Gustav Forsling is the best. Most underrated dman in the league. Guys will have better offensive numbers sure but no one is a more consistent or stabilizing presence on the blue line than anyone in the league

  9. ABSOLUTELY!!! If Miro Heiskanen played in a Canadian market, or anywhere on the east coast, he would already be a household name Superstar and probably have won a Norris Trophy by now. Playing in a TV market that gets virtually no national coverage is both a blessing and a curse.

  10. Stars fans are used to our guys being underrated. The media ignores Dallas because they think we're not a real market or that the Stars don't have fans.

  11. He's not in the spotlight because he plays in Dallas but definitely one of the best defensemen in the league.

  12. Finally some Miro respect. He lacks the flashiness of Makar – in fact, it was funny to watch Makar carry the puck in with these beautiful ankle breaking moves all series vs. Miro who just casually skates in with speed and protects the puck on his backhand. But Miro's strength is his consistency in his own end and his ability to always make the right play on offense. It's not flashy, but he always knows when to pinch, when to pass, and when to shoot. There's no question Dallas doesn't make it this far without Miro.

  13. The 2 most underrated Dman are going against eachother next round. Nobody talks about Heiskanen because of where he plays and everyone trashes Bouchard because of who he plays with.

  14. I'm a Stars season ticket holder and we sit in the end where the Stars DEFEND twice, so I get to see a lot of LIVE Miro.

Without question, night in and night out, he is the best player and most underrated player on the team.

  15. When you look at him play, you do wonder how he hasn't won any awards yet.. That being said, conn smythe would be a good way to start, but it more than often goes to the cup winner.

  16. Getting Tanev was the best thing for Miro. No longer does he feel he needs to do all the work but when he does do work..
