For months on this program I have talked about how badly I want the New Jersey Devils to acquire Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators. He is EXACTLY the type of player the NJ Devils desperately need on their roster.
Despite countless amounts of people online trying to paint this as a complete pipedream; the latest chapter of the Brady Tkachuk saga has unfolded.
Recently Jeremy Rutherford, a St. Louis Blues source, spoke on ESPN discussing how he believes Brady Tkachuk may be on the market!
And just like that, I am sucked right back in…

Steven Seagal? Boy Ace, you just aged yourself! Lol. If Ottawa is in a win now mode and wants players not draft picks or rising stars, doesn't that hurt the Devils chances? It seems Fitz has given almost everyone on the team some kind of no trade clause.

dude I love your passion, — but imo the Brady Tkachuk focus is misplaced right now. These conference finals playoff series are showing how badly the Devils need a real 1A goalie. Fitzgerald massively dropped the ball and he allowed this team to regress to mediocrity. At a minimum the Devils need a real goalie and they need to muscle up to deal with Rangers. It should be clear to everyone that Bettman and the league is not going to suspend a dirty goon like Trouba or hold him accountable. Fitzgerald should be repulsed by what the Rangers are doing right now.

The Devils will trade Ondrej Palat, Dougie Hamilton, Jakub Malek, Daniil Misyul, the 10th pick, and a 2025 1st-rounder to the Senators for Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle during the 2024 NHL Entry Draft in Vegas on June 28.

Idk, when you got into hockey, but for someone who has watched for decades I can sadly say, EVERY Summer this type of talk happens. PLENTY of journalist on the level of the STL Blues writer, Spittin Chicklets + Ruffer who both admitted they were just blowing smoke on how they "could see" Brady in NJ have spoke like this in the past.
