I would like to see Kuemper traded so we can run Sheppard and lingren. I wouldnt mind seeing us bring in a 22 year old or younger but not at the cost of draft capital.
I’m not sure what you’re asking. It sounds like you’re upset that BMac made the promise to not have a full rebuild while Alex is here, in order to stay competitive. If he hadn’t made the promise, do you think we would be more competitive? We made huge strides this year..got a bit younger, a bit faster. We should be adding more pieces soon-through trades, signing free agents..or by adding farm talent. The future seems much brighter than last summer…

I seem to remember being horrified for us at the beginning of this past year. We did better than I ever expected, and think we will only improve. That whatever it was – not being good until Ovi hangs up his skates, ….almost made me cry, and I will like a baby when he does. I remember watching him being drafted! The Capitals, to me, who has grown up with Ovi on that team, the Caps will never be the same without him. So screw anyone that thinks that! The man has earned some freaking respect I’d say, goal chasing or not! Also, after watching these playoff games, DAL/EDM last night 😱 it’ll take years to be that good. Dowdy rocks! Unless they find a way to move up in the draft, I would take a long hard look at trading 17+something for Martin Necas. With Oshie potentially starting next season on IR, he would be an excellent replacement. If Leonard also joins the team, that would be a solid overhaul at the RW position without creating a need to move additional players.
