The Panthers lost Game 3 to the New York Rangers 5-4 in overtime in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final on Sunday in Sunrise.

New York leads the best-of-7 series 2-1; Game 4 is in Sunrise on Tuesday at 8 (ESPN).

On Sunday, Florida got two goals from Sam Reinhart on the power play, but the game was tied 2-2 going into the second.

The Rangers scored twice in the second — one shorthanded — but the Panthers were on the attack in the third.

Sasha Barkov made it 4-3; Gus Forsling tied it. Florida dominated the third but did not get the fifth goal.

Former Florida center Alex Wennberg (2021) won it on a deflection in overtime.
