Problem in the postseason for Quinn Hughes was he wasn’t able to get enough shots through traffic where Evan Bouchard was able to do that and score goals. And we know that Quinn Hughes was injured in the playoffs but that being said he needs to work on the shot accuracy so he can get more pucks through bodies.
Bouchard is a 40 pt player on the canucks
Hughes w mcdavid mckinnon or kucherov is 115 pt player
And Bouchard looks 45
Being an Oilers fan, I didn't understand this comparison during the series, because as you echoed – they are so different. Like in terms of what you're getting game in and game out from each player, I thought Hughes was so much more an all-round player and much more in the leadership role than Bouchard who is turning into a blue line stud and general offensive weapon. I've watched a lot more Bouchard than Hughes, so what I'll say is that there are a decent amount of serious elements Bouch has added just this season to his game that further specialize him in is role, and I think as these players continue to develop they will only get more different.

As good as Evan Bouchard and this is no knock on Bouchard because he’s a really good defenceman but in my opinion, it goes Cale makar Quinn, Hughes, then Adam Fox and put whoever you want at number four

I lean towards Bouchard cause he reminds of two of my STL Blues D men back in the day. Al MacInnis and Jeff Brown.
The biggest difference I saw between the 2 was Bouchard was firing away with confidence while Hughes was hesitant holding on to the puck longer looking for the perfect play.
The problem is Quinn, like his brother are super skilled guys in puny bodies……not small but puny. When the tough gets going it affects them. It's worse for Quinn as a Dman because it's easier to bang him in the corners
Hughes is too small and fragile for the playoffs period.
