Don't censor the guy. He's honest and the real deal. It's a lot better than the standard issue B.S. that gets spouted all the time. "It owes me nothing." He made an instant fan right there with that statement. The guy can drive, he'll win the Indianapolis 500.
I knew it , you can't go first starting last lap, you need to go stepping on the car ahead to finish first. Hes such brave, talented driver, I hope he gets it.
I was there at my first Indy 500 rooting him on. Love his attitude. "This place owes me nothing". No entitlement there. Love it!

Newgarden has better racecraft. In these cars, when running so close to each other. You don't want to be leading the white flag lap. There's a reason why Newgarden has won this race twice, and O'Ward hasn't.

I love how the announcers didn’t apologize for the profanity. There was no need to. That was raw emotion and I’m glad he was allowed to speak it. It helps paint the heart break even further. 😢
He drove that car over the limit at times! What quick hands and bravery he has. I think his only mistake was he scrubbed too much speed when he lunched to the inside trying to break the tow. Should have been more smoother there but he did great

Dude , i watched every second of the race, being so down in the dumps is incorrect thinking. BE proud – 2nd place in INDY by a second is no small accomplishment. You will be back, and if the gods are with you , victory will be yours.
Well maybe next time you will get 20th or 30th or crash out or vblow the engine. The thing that’s hard about watching him whine about getting 2nd is that there is no grace or sportsmanship in it.

Pato you're not alone. Many drivers before you have been there. You put on a great show once again. Be thankful you had the opportunity to compete with some of the best. Attitude and perseverance will get you there.
What continues to disturb me and, once again, beyond infuriating as O'Ward said….., "Some people just driving like maniacs….." A substantial percentage of the field are rank amateurs, not adequately competent. This crap must stop.
2nd place is the first loser. He almost lost control at some point if the race but was able to correct it.
