That presser was rather strange.
I live in Sooke on Vancouver Island behind a forest and there are bears that come into the playground behind my condo building to eat grass and sunbathe. So far, I've heard of no issues, but there will eventually be some stupid person, even though there are signs in my elevator saying "don't feed the bears." It's like of like putting "caution: hot" on a cup of coffee. If you needed to be told, a sign probably isn't going to help you.
The Canucks don't have any of their own draft-picks until the SIXTH round!
Because he wasn't injured??
Petterson is a stoic guy. You either get that or you donāt ,but most people will not understand a stoic person. Itās just how it is.
Has anyone tried playing elite sports with tendinitis? It can be debilitating. Extremely painful, and it gets worse without rest. It would make shooting the puck hard very difficult.

Defending the indefensible heh.
Not an injury that keeps you off the ice (by playoff standards), but one that doesnāt get better without rest and time.
Everybody keeps talking about "would he hurt himself more?".
This IMO is the wrong question. Sure, he doesn't hurt himself more. But why isn't the quesiton "Will he get better by playing through it?" If the answer is "No" then you're ensuring that you've got an 80% Petterson in the playoffs.
If all these lessons are about winning in the playoffs, they need to be learned by the coaches too. It's not just enough to be there for the playoffs…if you have elite players they need to be able to play at that elite level. If it takes three weeks of rest to ensure that…then that's what you do.
This tough guy "play through the pain" BS is toxic in this situation.
