Never thought I would cheer against a Western Canadian team in the playoffs but the way the Oilers carry themselves against the Canucks i have no respect for them! Diving, getting away with major penalties. No dignity and the refs babied them like a bunch of pansies. No respect for the oilers, the refs or the league anymore! 🖕🏼

I admittedly didn't watch the game, but as an Edmontonian and therefore an Oilkers fan, I am getting quite upset by how we are letting the Stars steal our momentum TWICE IN A ROW (I know, technically speaking it was 1-1 in game 2 at the first intermission, but we were outplaying the Stars far beyond what the score suggested to the point I was expecting a blowout game much like game 6 of the Oilers-Canucks series)! It seems like we completely tank in the second period and that is not how you win a playoff game. 3 unanswered goals against in 5 minutes before you EVEN GET your first SOG in the period? Please explain to me how there is hope for our great team winning the Western Conference trophy? If we lose again on Wednesday, they almost certainly have some lockers to clean out. If we lose 2 more games, what reason can we possibly give Draisaitl and McDavid for resigning with us (I believe they both become UFAs soon)? "Please stay. We can still win a cup." has become tired, and frankly untrue now. We have had unsuccessful runs in the playoffs for almost 5 years now. It is frustrating as a fan, and I can only imagine what it's like for them now wanting a cup so badly. I ask you: what would happen to the team, never mind Ken Holland, if we lost them both to a Stanley Cup contender? We would have trouble winning games never mind making it into the playoffs as a wildcard. We would be the pre-Taylor Hall Oilers all over again with maybe a few more weapons courtesy of players like Holloway, Bouchard, Hyman, etc. We NEED to win on Wednesday. I hope they are doing a whole bunch of video review so the team understands where they messed up tonight and they take responsibility for those mistakes. Some commenters have said some people said that Oilers were done when it was 2-1 for the Canucks. But the Canucks never won 2 straight games by 2 goals. This is a whole different level of bad. We need to find a way to have the kind of second and third period we had in the first period tonight. That kind of 60 minute game would give Oettinger, Robertson, Suter, Benn and the rest of the Stars a much harder time beating us which seems far too easy now.
Dallas can already roll 4 lines, but with Hintz back they can do it more comfortability. Robertson scoring is good news for Dallas, but bad news for Edmonton. Bouchard is the definition of a defensive liability, he's so bad around his own net, but hey he redeems all of that for his offence… Also Nurse is making 9.25M for the next 5 years and he looks like a 3rd pairing defensemen. Anyways Stars in 5.
I don't know why this coach thinks he needs to pull a goalie for one goal with over 2:30 left to go.

The most dangerous lead in hockey (especially playoffs) is the 2 goal lead and Oilers proved it in the 2nd. You can't let a guy like Robertson get back his scoring touch in a series that's going to be close. Especially now with Hintz back, it's going to be an uphill battle and Skinner can't let a little fake by Robertson get that bank goal for the hatty. I was rooting for Vancouver to cap off their dark horse season and Dallas was my #2 pick since I have no dog in the fight for the cup this season. But I still am enjoying tight-knit hockey.
