Everyone should rewatch the match from 2022 where Zverev tore his ankle playing against Nadal. Watching Rafa help a distraught Sasha off the court really makes this moment at the end of Nadal's career more poignant.

Some players just don't know when to quit. You have nothing left to prove Rafa.
I think Nadal is still playing good tennis, he still can do it. The stamina, the shot is still there. It's just unfortunate that he had to face a very tought opponent in the first round. But if he maintains the way he plays today, even if he loss, he can still do it and probably come back in 2025.
