This is a perfect example of having the right players for the right time. Both Bertuzzi and Domi are both good starting blocks for grit and compete level in the playoffs.

Marner and Tavares and Bertuzzi and Domi will all be leafs in the 24 25 season. Woll and Hildeby will be an in house pair with Jones as the backup . The defence needs to keep their big guys but change the defensive system . If you watched the Panthers PP goal in OT last night , that was beautiful and how a PP should work.

They definitey can't afford to keep both Domi and Bertuzzi. If one does stay it will probably be Domi but it's going to cost them. Not sure if he is worth it though. Other free agency help might be a better /cheaper option for the Leafs. This team is already in worse cap hell this upcoming season than last season so every dollar counts.
Bert is not a puck carrying passer playmaker, not a nose for the net scorer, not paid for his play in his own end, not structured, just a net presence, just good forechecker. Not worth more than McMann, Knies, Jarnkrok. Domi max of 4 for 4.
Leafs salary cap went up? all the extra $ went to Nylander and Matthews. Team’s a year away from getting some real cap relief
I know you younger folks struggle with Math (Cus its hard) So I will break itr down : Leafs have $18.5 Million in Cap space but only have 16 players on the roster. So bringing Domi back (He is asking for a long term contract at $6 Million or Bertuzzi who was making $5.5 Million means you have $7 Million remaining to sign 5 players to the roster. That means you will have a lot of League minimum "prospects" filling uniforms in October.

Love Domi but I thought Bert would be more like a Marchand type of player, but in the playoffs we seen it that isn't the case. Cap space relief is already gone with Willy now signed. I'd say keep Domi.
4mill over 5 years ,domi. Do commercials make millions there. Same as bertuzzi take a smaller av and do commercials and make millions. Players need to realize the off ice opportunity that exists which is much great than on ice value. And if you win with that jersey on. I wouldn’t pay Domi or Bertuzzi that kind of money, but I would much rather keep Domi over Bertuzzi if we have to make that choice

Listen boys, Marner is a great player but, he makes to much he is a 9 mill guy or9.5 over 8 years. But he needs to get heavier and meaner. Go work on a farm for an off-season eat steak and potatoes breads pork lobsters and salads. Pastas bread. Drink an ensure before and after workouts or work and everything heavy low reps until it's heavy high reps. Then go drinking with buddies and get into some scraps win or lose doesn't matter. Then when you get back on the ice it's alot easier. Peace ✌️ 😎.
