The PK hasnt looked great, but it just feels like the officiating is way too one sided. The calls that go against feel very weak and you see Florida do it and nothing happens, especially the ending to regulation where two penalties end up saving Florida from a 2 on 1 that couldve won us the game and then of course barely a minute in a similar break goes for Florida and with no hesitation a hooking call is made. That being said the Rangers need to skate, they can beat Florida if they just put a 60 minute effort into the game. The first period was fantastic and we couldve strangled Florida if we continued to play like that, but the rest of the game it looked like they were skating in quick sand and completely forgot how to handle the puck and that just feeds Floridas game and it just snowballs because you just end up getting overworked and every shift ends up being survival. They're deeper than carolina and have a better goaltender and thats why the series is tied, but the rangers just need to flip the switch and i think we can beat Florida. They have the talent and the ability to beat Florida, but you have to execute and they just havent done that and it just feels like every other year where they have it for a couple games, but then the effort just disappears and it feels like they have no energy and desire to keep trying.
Rangers are disappearing in 3rd period of almost every game this series. That being said, refs are being brutal against the Rangers and letting Florida get away with a bunch of calls that would be penalties the other way around. A dream stanley cup finals of NYR vs EDM might end up being a boring finals with two teams from places where it doesn't even snow.
If the rangers or any of their fans walked into this series thinking "we got this" they were fooling themselves. Too drunk on their own stuff after the first two rounds.
im just not happy about the last 15 seconds of regulation. zibanejad and kakko were about to have a 2 on 1 break, but forsling holds/interferes with mika, spinning him out of the play, then on the same play, ekblad gets his stick on kakko's skate, tripping him and preventing him from getting a shot off. then, as time expires, trouba gives reinhart a shove, which i admit was late, so reinhart had a right to be angry, but he pretty much sucker punched trouba, or at least tried to. i get that the refs dont want to call things unless they have to because it might tip the game, but three potential calls in the waning seconds, youve got to at least make one of them. but lo and behold, a minute in, time that the rangers wouldve been on the pp, barkov gets hooked on a breakaway, somehow its called a pp and not a penalty shot, like he had a clear path to the net, wheeler was only anywhere near him because he was hooking. now look, im not trying to say that the rangers deserved to win here, since they got outplayed for 40 minutes in this one, but they didnt deserve to lose the way they did. if they get that late pp, dont score and florida still wins, i wouldnt be as pissed, and it probably wouldve happened, but the refs need to be better. some things you cant just swallow the whistle on
Panarin looked like complete dog shit out there. Worst I’ve ever seen him play. Zero checks, zero battles one, zero offence except for the secondary assist he had. What was the real dagger, though, was when (either late in the third or early OT) Kreider fed Zibanejad on a rush, and Zibanejad had the whole top of the net open to score, and he missed the net. The guy HAS to put those in. The series would’ve been 3-1 heading back to MSG. Would’ve been highway robbery once again, stewing a game where they were being dominated.
Florida shoots on goal like Carolina, big difference is where the shots are coming from. New York is very skilled, but they aren't built to take checks all game long. Igor has been the MVP, but eventually he'll need help. This isn't the Hurricanes, Florida has physicality with skill.
If the rangers could stop taking penalties. Well let's see the NHL is rigging any team who plays against the Panthers. Either the refs are on the Panthers pay roll, betting on games, or Gary Betman is telling these refs to make damn well sure the Panthers win it all to try and grow a southern fan base. Every team is getting call with a ton of B's penalties yet the Panthers are getting away with everything and nothing is called against them. It's rigged.
Honestly eck I used to like your videos but every video about the rangers have been negative, as a rangers fan I would expect a more positive attitude. We didn’t even play that bad game four besides our lack of possession.
The Rangers averaged 7 shots a period. They have to start playing offense. They cant keep hoping to win allowing 35+ shots a game. Same Rangers really. Rely on the goaltender to win games (Richter/Lundqvist/Shesterkin).

The Rangers have been the luckiest playoff team thus far. You get to play the worst team by far in the Caps. Then totally outplayed by Carolina and Florida, but somehow pull off miracle wins. The luck regression has to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Florida finishes off the series in 6, but maybe that luck persists and the Rangers win 2 more being totally outplayed.
There was statistic in the 3rd period. In both Florida home games combined they had 100 more shot attempts than NY. I knew Florida would steam roll Rangers at home. Too bad they only got one win. Really hoping Rangers don't get to finals. I like Stanley Cup final games to be tight games between two good teams. Not games where another team can't even get over the blueline.

Florida’s last chance to be popular. In 4 to 5 years the arena will be near empty, as it was before. The refs gave game 3 on a plate to Florida, it wasn’t enough. They gave them game 4 on a platter, and it was enough.
The Rangers have played a few good periods, that’s it. They seem to think a one goal lead in the first is all they need. They are losing the battles on the boards. Star players are absent. PP not scoring and now the PK is giving up goals. Yes this series could have easily been over. The announcers said it. It seemed like the Rangers were playing for OT after they scored the tying goal. 0:01
I don’t think the panthers are better than the rangers, the best way to sum it up, is as you said, THEY WANT IT MORE. At peak this rangers team would be unstoppable, if the first and 2nd line show up every period we could sweep every team in the playoffs, but bad penalties, and literally somehow LOSING ALL HEART after 1 good period is incredible and causes this stupidity
