I hate the revisionist history when it comes to Kyrie/Kanye Irving.
His skill has never been Questioned. Screw his offcourt comments and or activities.
His PRODUCTION oncourt…His AVAILABILITY oncourt is what the focus hsd to be on. Kyrie even when engaged givrs you about 60 -65 gms tops. He has been injured… or hurt come playoff time since leaving Cleveland. He kept sayong HE wanted to LEAD His OWN Team. He Flaked on Boston and was not available in Brooklyn.
Before the apologists say the "Jab" That had nothing to do with his availability for the Brooklyn playoff years.
If Kyrie had not let his Ego get in the way……He got in trouble with the Media because he always was trying to Prove how intelligent he was instead of just giving standard answers. He too often took the Bait from bytch ass local media and Puzzy ass SAS.
Finally in Dallas he is focused on Basketball and keeping his Private life PRIVATE.
Skill wise???
Luka/Kyrie could be the Best Duo.
But that doesn't translate into being the BEST Backcourt ever.
Luka/Kyrie haven't been really challenged to play both ends of the court in these Playoffs….especially a hurting Luka.
It allows them to Carry the Offensive Load easier and be dominant in the 4th
Best backcourts had both Guards playing Defense and the ability to be lead dog at any time
Example: Thomas/Dumars
Thomas could have scored 30 a night Dumars could give 25+ easy if they wanted. Both wete tenacious defensively with Dumars being elite.
Nothing was mentioned about Jrue Holiday impact on the playoffs so far
Now EVERYBODY Love Kyrie…:.
What about Zeke and Dumars. They both have a finals MVP
No serious GM would take luka over Tatum if they want to get to the playoffs every year and go deep every year. Only serious GMs who appreciate versatility, d, rebounding, and making the players around them better would take Tatum. Only kids in love with points and sub par d would take Luka.

I'm a Celtics fan and that dude wearing the black B hat actually picked Tatum over Luka to start a team. I'm shocked, I've never actually heard anyone pick Tatum over Luka. Some media members have even gone as far as saying that Luka is in his own tier above Tatum.
Tatum way better than Luka. More versatile; better defender; more athletic!!! Not a ball dominant player and has accomplished more. Also, will dominate that match in the finals!! Write it down
