I've finally gathered all the data, the microstats, the cards, the salaries, the numbers and the depth/UFA targets we should consider to come back stronger for next year (and hopefully make it past G7 of the second round this time). I've also laid out some roster objectives and a rough sketch of events & potential trades.
Feel free to comment on the roster construction, whether you think it's realistic for this offseason, better than this year's team, worse off, etc. I'd be happy to talk about anything else on the sheet as well. Here's to a fun (and hopefully fruitful) offseason!

I like the idea and effort you took in making this beautiful analysis. Numbers make sense – but Mikheyev magically gone is going to be hard.
Sounds like management need to trade Boeser or Garland to free up cap space/get draft picks.
We need good draft picks to fill in the gaps.
I like what you’ve got here with the D for sure, but I think Myers is much more likely to stay over Cole. I would be happy with that although it will take a little more $$.
I would subtract Lindholm as I think he’s too expensive for a 3C and didn’t find any chemistry on the wing. I’d replace him with a cheaper 3C (Blueger possibly?) and use the rest on another winger.

Where did you find Tyler Motte? Lindholm is as good as gone. Handful of teams will be wanting him and will overpay.
How did you justify giving toffoli 5×5.5 when he was seeing 4th line deployment in the playoffs at age 32? How did you justify giving lindholm a 6×7.25 year contract as a 3c at age 29? How did you decide to give Brett pesce 7×6.8 at 29? How did you decide on giving Cole another 2 years at 1.8 seeing he considerably slowed down the stretch and is better suited as a 7th d? Where did hronek go? Dakota at 3m? Do you know an insider who thinks he’s going to sign cheap on his only chance to cash?
And lol to Tyler motte. You literally recreated Bennings roster by overpaying and signing them to long inflated contracts. How did that turn out for us? This team looks slow and awful on paper. Sorry to say. Just my 2 cents.
