  1. Can you post a clip from the 2/17/2024 VGK/Canes game where Pietrantelo hits Chatfield and sends him flying upside down into the boards? Pretty sure it was in the 3rd period when they were down 3-1. Thanks in advance!

  2. Honestly, it is nice to see they just stop, no whistle needed. When a player is hurt play isn’t necessarily halted, but when a ref gets obviously hurt, it’s like a gentleman’s agreement to just stop, no whistle needed. I like that

  3. "Heads off for repairs" – that's a good way to put it! I'm sure he'll be ok because he's getting immediate assistance, but if he weren't, he'd be in some serious trouble!

  4. Major respect to these guys, out there with the best players on the ice with the game going at top speed and they still go

  5. And people wonder why at the beginning of the game they say watch for flying pucks because that could be your head if you get hit by one

  6. He was pretty lucky there. Its no game being hit on the side of the head at the thinnest part. A russian player was deadly hurt from an simular situation.

  7. LOL hilarious & priceless. If he can't take the risk he shouldnt be there player or ref. Could you imagine a ref in the nfl or nba taking a small push let alone a ball to the face. MLB & NHL do quite often & like hockey players power through usually. I had a puck break my ankle during a game & it was a proper break. Foot just floppin around like a wind chime lol.

  8. Ужасно ,и без глаза и без зубов останешься ,такой вид спорта экстремальный

  9. I was under the impression that there were three refs for NHL games. That way if any of the four officials go down, that third ref could go in in either position.

  10. They should make referees wear visors that cover up their entire face instead of their eyes, just so that way stuff like this will happen less… I understand that they tend to take hits a lot from players, but it would be nice to see refs being hit in the face less often… This shows you why hockey referees have the hardest job. Yes, fans do get upset when they make decisions, but for me, it is more upsetting when I see a ref go down like that. Hopefully, they will be able to wear longer visors in case stuff like this happens. This is my opinion.
