I question the quality of the survey referenced that lists us as the Second most aggressive fan base in the NHL. I know we love the boys but I have always thought of our fan base as some of the best sportsmanship in the league. Am I wrong?

Minnesota is famously “nice” but I almost got into two fights at the Xcel Center wearing our gear at a game once and I’m a devout pacifist. Heck I don’t even think there should be fighting on the ice much less the stands.
I would imagine a lot of northeast fan bases are pretty hostile but I haven’t seen us be like that at Ball. Maybe I missed it.

I think the Avs fanbase is as toxic as any other fanbase. This survey by “Casino.org” does not seem very scientific. I wouldn’t give this much credence at all

Hockey media has always hated us and I’ve learned to ignore almost anything they say about the team
Hubby and I have been to 11 NHL arenas. I consistently find that our in-game fan experience is the standard (truly setting my bias aside), but also that our fans are amongst the rowdiest.
I don’t know that I’d use the term “aggressive,” but we certainly are engaged and like to have a good time. 🤷🏻♀️
People hate teams that win it all, just something that comes with success.
I don’t have season tickets or anything but I’ve been to enough games to feel good about saying I don’t agree.
I’ve never seen Avs fan heckling people who wear the opposing team’s jersey (outside of a good natured type) aggressively. Everyone has always been super nice and chill.
Aggressive as in violent? Absolutely not something I’ve ever thought having grown up an Avs fan and attended plenty of games.
Critical of our squad to the point of irrationality? This is the way.

I’ll admit. The Avs are my second team. I wear an Avs jersey to every game I go to, unless they are playing the Devils. I’ve been to every Devils game for the past 5 years and have yet to be heckled. It always ends up being a friendly and fun experience. This survey is trash. Just like Jamie Benn.

It’s crazy because anytime I’ve seen fights at McNichols/Pepsi/Ball it was almost always between fans of the visiting teams fighting each other (and I include McNichols bc I’m old). Now during the Avs/Wing heyday there were too many fights to count aaaand they usually spilled into the streets.
It’s bonkers to think that Avs fans are worse than Flyers (Philly fans in general) or Preds fans.

As a Blues fan living in Colorado, I’ve never had a single Avs fan be a dick to me. Of course I get the occasional binnington jokes, but nothing malicious. Garbage survey.
