Breaking news. Overtime playoff hockey is exciting

This was a fun trip down memory lane. The last one, against the Blues in 2016, is one of my favorite goals ever. I remember it like it was yesterday – the tension throughout overtime, the brief moment of anguish thinking he’d missed a golden chance, only to see him swoop around the net and jam it home, me and my partner at the time celebrating like little kids just jumping up and down in my dorm room. The whole sequence was incredible work by Kane, one of those moments that only the truly great players can perform.
He was always magic on the ice and every time he had the puck in the O zone you just had a feeling he was about to do something special. To see a player like that thriving on the biggest stage year after year, we were truly spoiled as fans. Part of me is happy with how the Bedard era seems to be blossoming and is okay with leaving the 19/88 era behind, but I can’t act like I wouldn’t love to watch him on the Hawks one more time. It seems unlikely to me but you never know, maybe him and Davidson work something out. I guess we’ll see!
