I mean, Alfie as an assistant coach, especially one without a specific portfolio, sounds very good. Something similar to the player development role he was doing before but more formalized and on a slightly broader basis, combined with a bit of insulation if they need a wholesale change in the coaching staff, might be the right balance on keeping him that close to the role.
