Nurse crosscheck and roughing on Joshua – Tough Call Review

  1. It's apparent the refs have been told to take it easy on the Oilers. Way to many missed calls and an imbalance of Oiler PPs being called.

  2. I don’t think the refs want to double up calls on a play. They’ve either decided or been told not to. I’d like them to call it, but they won’t.

  3. I think the key word you said is common, I cant get a call when that happens in beer league… Ill be damned if the NHL starts. I get it, its a roughing, but Hockey is no fun if yeah can't give a shot to guy and then take a beer to him after the game.

  4. They never called that before … not going to call that in the playoffs. Remind ya of Van/Bos 2011? Sedin gets multiple punches right in front of the ref and no call.
I think that crosscheck was more of a dive than the one called in NYR/CAR a few games ago.
And it was a weak crosscheck, even weaker than the crosscheck that wasn't called in the Bos/Fla game that resulted in a goal, that should have been waived for goalie interference.
but they called this? and not the one in Boston??? Never any consistency. That's why I get frustrated. Just no consistency, and diving like that should be suspendable.

  5. We need to just accept that the refs have a script, especially when Van plays. Nucks just need to mind their P's and Q's and not give the refs OR the league excuses to shit on them cause thats exactly what they will do any chance they get. Im surprised they even called anything on this. If a blue and green jersey did that probaby would have been 5 and a game and the league would have suspended him for the rest of the series 🎉

  6. All of a sudden on the NHL you want to play by the rules? The penalty boxes aren't big enough and the game already is too long with too many interruptions.

  7. Nurse showing his skill set again. Anyways, when you have a former goon in charge of the DPS, this is the quality of refereeing you can expect.
