Can’t Wait | The Steve Dangle Podcast

September 30th, 2021 is the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.

Today is an occasion for us to remember and acknowledge the lost children, the living survivors, as well as the immediate families and communities that have been impacted by residential school systems.

Additionally, September 30th also commemorates Orange Shirt Day, declared by the federal government. The colour opens the door to global conversation on all aspects of Residential Schools. It is an opportunity to create meaningful discussion about the effects of Residential Schools and the legacy they have left behind. A discussion all Canadians can tune into and create bridges with each other for reconciliation. A day for survivors to be reaffirmed that they matter, and so do those that have been affected. Every Child Matters, even if they are an adult, from now on.

  1. As an indigenous man myself I really love and truly appreciate you guy dedicating so much of this episode to such an important issue towards all indigenous peoples and all the people and children that never came back home and the ones that did, but didn’t really. Thank you guys, you’re so awesome ! 🧡🧡🧡 💙 🤍 go leafs go

  2. Hey guys Steve Adam or Jesse I've got a question, and it's about the Chicago Blackhawks .I was wondering with all the investigation going on there do players look at that and say I don't want to go there or when traded there like fleury do they say no because of those investigation going on . Anyone feel free to awnser it was just a thought Ive had and wondered.

  3. It's not so much mischaracterizing the concerns people have about the vax, it's how you guys mischaracterize those you are suspicious of it. It's the condescension. It's the virtue signaling. It's using being 'pro-vax' to be snobbish. Itd be one thing if you guys simply disagreed with people over the facts. Thats going to happen. There are good reasons for both sides. It's another to pretend to be polite in ur demeanor while being presumptous with your words. You guys are a sports podcast…stick to that, cuz right now I'm fast forwarding or just turning off the show when I here 'the steve dangle societal critique show'. It's getting old.

  4. On the NFL/Russell Wilson/Beats by Dre part, the reason why the league is still so strict on players what headphones players wear in warm ups is because they have a longtime partnership with Bose. If you wear headphones from any other company in an NFL event, you receive a juicy $10,000 fine

  5. You guys need to get that black foam behind Adam and change the blinds to a darker color so he doesn't look sickly and Steve won't look blue in the wide angle

  6. Exactly Adam. All the ads on the side of the boards and flashing ads are distracting. I don't want to see cal tires or Cavanagh construction or whatever on the players too. Rebok or Nike or CCM having tags on their equipment is different.

  7. The "my body my choice" argument or stance or whatever doesn't apply with vaccines, because by not getting the vaccine you are also affecting the health and safety of other people and their bodies lol

  8. I wonder if the dress code thing has to do with how many of the star players are younger these days. Not the veterans. So the ones who don’t want to wear suits are the ones with the influence.

  9. Please stop saying "THE Ukraine"! It's like saying "THE Canada" or "THE France," etc. Adam should consider doing a history corner breakdown on this topic, because this is a term that Soviet Russians used when they occupied Ukraine, as a way to erase the concept of an independent Ukrainian identity. By calling Ukraine, "THE Ukraine" it suggests that Ukraine is not an actual country, but instead a region or territory of Russia, as we might refer to "THE prairies" or "THE Yukon."

  10. "End racism." I agree that it sucks, but let's consider the nature of bullying. Can't outlaw being an asshole.

  11. After counting the logos on all of my hockey and lacrosse equiptment, I am still mad about advertisements on the jerseys.

  12. Wish the Toronto Rock lacrosse team had more of a platform, it's awesome if you guys did a segment on them one day!!!

  13. I miss when I would come from a hard working day and I could watch the podcast being just about sports.
So many bad things happening in the world, the podcast was a break from life and now you guys are taking that away by bringing all the daily life drama into your work.
It’s a nice podcast and you guys are good, but it would be better if you were talking about sports and having a few laughs. People (me) just want to unwind after a long working day/week. The world is depressing enough, keep it light.

  14. it's happening now because the next generation has been allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted their entire life and any rules must now go because it's the end of their world to have to follow some kind of structure!
