Ranger fans and hometown announcers just have to accept that Florida is a stronger team. It's not an accident that they were the best team in the NHL in the third period this year and also the best in the playoffs. They are like a ground attack football team that grinds their opponent down. Downside is that most of their players are not sharpshooters.
Florida plays playoff hockey all year. Most teams don't do that to avoid injuries and it did lead to some injuries but they entered the playoffs mostly healthy. Rangers won't win by changing their playing style now. It's real easy to say, "We need to get more shots". Every team that plays Florida says the same thing. Rangers have to just keep attacking and hope they can break through.

Everybody is talking about the stars not showing up. But the truth is this falls on the coaching staff… NO ADJUSTMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE! The FLA forecheck, the defense blindly dumping and punting every time they touch the puck – IS UNSUSTAINABLE! The turn overs and power play HAVE NOT BEEN GOOD.
Rangers would have matched better against Bruins, it is what it is. Panthers are a great team
As a Florida fan, I think last nights game was the best the rangers have looked overall from start to finish.

Unfortunate reality is that the Rangers defense is too complacent with Igor in net because they have such confidence in him. Go back and watch the games from the regular season that Quick played and you see a completely different defensive mindset. Strong on the puck, quick passing, tougher on the boards. I’m not saying to pull Igor because that would be insane, but the theme is evident. I have faith in the Rangers and know they will come to play to force a game 7. Fans have to weather the storm!
Florida is a much better team. They’ve outplayed the Rangers the whole series. I was afraid of this matchup. Hopefully the Rangers can somehow survive but it doesn’t look good
The Rangers offense is based around the powerplay. If it's not working, then you're not going to get more than what you're seeing.
Rangers have zero chance of even winning another game. They are completely dominated.
Igor has played heroic, but many of the top rangers are soft and undisciplined and simply can't hang with the cats. He deserves better. 🤦‍♂️💔

It's like an MMA fight where the Rangers have the skills and moves, but they are just getting slowly grappled and worn out and taking hits on the ground more and more with each round and there just isn't anything they can do. The only way they can win Game 6 or the series is with someone going above and beyond, some individual efforts overcoming what the team is not able to do against a better team. Something like what Goodrow or Lafreniere have done in this series, or what Kris Kreider did in Game 6 against Carolina. Or perhaps a better than great effort by Shesterkin and a shutout. If anything like that can happen in Game 6 then who knows. But it is obviously a tall tasks. And it looked like it could have been like that for moments in games 4 and 5 as well, with the Rangers scoring first and another SH goal by Kreider, but then still, like in almost every other game, Florida would just keep coming and coming. It's those individual moments, and rushes, and breakouts that have been the only thing making this a series for the Rangers and they have to have more of that than of the punishment that Florida brings to every single game.

Florida may win this series but. they will get decimated by Edmonton or Dallas. Both of those teams know how to adjust and turn Florida's forecheck into a weakness just like Vegas last year.
