As a Rangers fan, the Florida Forecheck is merciless. They have it mastered.
I don't see anyone beating them. They have the Refs in their pocket, they are dirty, thuggish, and get in people's heads. I think they hoist the cup this year. Hate to see
another Florida team do it, just feels wrong. I hate to see dirty, cheap forecheck cheesing players like them win it, but they will.
Go Edmonton, I think they have the best shot of taking the cats down.
The refs seem to have a crush on some of the Florida players I guess. Refs decided game 4, absolutely no question about it. The series should be 3-2 NYR. Shouldn’t matter anyway, we’ll have no problem taking the series in 7
The refs piss me off quite a bit. Absolute nonsense. I feel like I'm watching one of my son's games at the opposing team's home ice.
Well if history follows suite, oilers will beat the stars and lose in the finals.

I mean the last 4 games have been 1 goal games and the series score is 3-2. Things were much more even in game 5 I think you’re reading a little too much into it. It’s a matchup of styles and the margin of error is razor thin, game 6 should be fun.

If FLA would of held on to the lead. This series would already be Over. The Rangers Goalie, is just amazing
If FLA is good enough to defeat NYR, FLA can beat no matter DAL or EDM. One more win for the cup!
A few calls missed by the Ref's against Florida in this series? The Ref's must be PRO Florida!
I hope it's Edmonton vs. Florida in the finals so that I don't have to care who wins the cup. I'd be happy seeing either of those teams win it all. Florida Panthers is my second favorite team in the NHL and McDavid/Draisaitl certainly deserves to win the cup. It would also be nice to see a Canadian team win the cup again.
Another good point to mention is the favorable officiating the Panthers have received. It makes it a lot easier to play a heavy aggressive style when the refs seem to turn a blind eye to almost everything. Normally, I'd say it's just the way it goes, but when three separate teams collectively experience the same thing, it starts to become a clear pattern.
Barkov is the key. He’s somehow still underrated
The fitness of the panthers to continue the onslaught of forechecking and constant pressure and with them buying into their system with 200% while trusting that, if they play their game, its gonna be fine, is what makes them so hard to beat in a 7-game series.
They're going to wear you down without letting setbacks get to them. That's why i want them to win the cup. This is a real TEAM from the coach to the last guy on the bench to the equipment managers and the cleaning ladies… They all just… Want to win and it shows

As a newer fan, in that I am more into hockey this year, the panthers look great just have a giant glaring hole. And its their agression, like I feel a team with sound passing and a guy who can just get the puck into the O zone will smoke this team cause thats how the panthers play, just instead of speed its physicallity. So IMO Dallas or Edmonton should beat them either through star power or the ability to adapt to anything

They look broken because the league has allowed the boring trap style defenses back in. The defender is allowed to disregard the puck and just hold up his man on the line upon entry. This was interference only a few years ago. It stifles skilled players and rewards stronger and more physical players because it’s more of a football play now.

not broken. been ranger fan since 1969 when dad planted me in front of TV at 5 and said this is your team. I have seen the worst in the mid 70, to Davidson in 79, Barry beck in 79, to Leech, Messier, through today. These games have all been very close, one bounce here or there and it could be 4-0 panthers, or even 4-1 Rangers. They were in it all game until the end. Rangers goalie is world class. The panthers appear to be a better team though, shutting down key offensive players/ Mica, Fox, Krieder, Panarin have been poor. I am not counting them out, they proved all year they could do it and have. Would I be surprised if they lost 6 or 7? no… I would also not be surprised if they won two straight. They need to tighten up their defense and get going on the offense. Power play last 20 chances are poor. End of day you can talk about all the stats, but game is won when puck is put in net and anything can happen.

Same thing in the Round 2. Canes way outperformed in both possession and shots on net and WAY on shot attempts, we just couldn't solve Shesterkin like the Panthers have. Maybe he just got worn out in Raleigh 😂

I hope this series goes to seven games. It's the most entertaining, intense, and fun to watch. In comparison, the Dallas/Oilers series looks like preseason hockey.
