Nice interview Jason. Down to earth guy is Owen. You can see his confidence and very confident when he talks to you.
Can talk Marchand and Pavelski but MOST players do NOT age that well. Barzal as a comparable is still a bit better of a player imho.
I wouldn't do anymore than 8.5m for 6 years.
The LAST thing thus team needs is to be at Max CAP without Michkov signed, and without any 1C or 1D signed. Along with Coots and Risto contracts looking atrocious.
And Meir was signed as an overpaid free agent. To keep things in context.
Why are The Flyers paying future premium to every player they have while other teams (most) have players on deals?
Oilers didn't say "well CAP is going up in a few years so McDavid is ACTUALLY worth 16m aav now".
Makes zero sense imho.

Sad fact: Konecny is a 3rd line, YES!!! A 3rd line player on ANY cup competing team that's in existence at the moment.
To me….
M. Tkachuk should be the comparable. Panarin should be the comparable. Kucherov should be the comparable.
And if you don't have "THAT" franchise player…
It's time to trade Konecny.

TK could get $8 million 8 yr contract as he means a lot to the Flyers
