I am going to however blame him for one thing. When carolina scored the 3-2 goal i would have immediately called a time out and reiterate what he should have hopefully already have said in the locker room between the 2nd and third when it was 3-1.That we have given up like 10 million leads this season keep the foot on the gas DO NOT LET UP[ play like your down 5 goals be aggressive. As for varlamov that 2nd goal and 4th goal were terrible. Varly has times when he has been brilliant and times like lapses when he has been pathetic.The team needs to be agggressive when they have a lead like that NOT SIT BACK they cant seem to understand this.They ALMOST ALWAYS become tentative with a lead.Sad thing is we can beat this team but carolina has more mental fortitude then us as simple as that.
The hurricanes got game winning goals now from Noesen, and Martinook what have guys on our team down like Nelson and Engvall – Nothing and thats the difference.
Series over sweep incoming. Thought the turtle was dead, I guess not. Inexcusable to play the way they did in the second and third. This team played to their identity, finding ways to lose in spectacular fashion.
We know what the problem is. They don’t know how to protect leads. A 3 goal advantage is tough to protect. But as far as blowing a lead. Well they are experts at it.

When watching this game deep in my heart, I just knew they would blow that lead, it seems like Carolina is a cat playing with a mouse, the islanders are just not able to compete, I am sensing a sweep.
