Unfortunately, Laine's goals were long ago and far away. Not sure i go down that path if Im Habs mgmt. On the plus side, its not PLD.

Re: NYR vs Panthers last night: After a slow start Panthers really controlled play for most of the game. This is the Panthers team that won 3 series last season before running out of gas in the finals. If they beat the Rangers…..whoever comes out of the west will have their hands full!!!
Re: Kakko: I predict he's done in the "Big Apple". Rangers will trade him and if given a chance to play top 6 minutes elsewhere I predict he will thrive.
Re: Laine to Habs: due diligence for sure!!!! If he's physically and MENTALLY healthy I think he'd be worth trading for as long as there's no "pie in the sky" expectations that he's going to win the Selke trophy. His defensive skills or lack thereof are well known and more than likely that isn't going to change BUT his scoring prowess may offset his defensive lapses….or not…😊

Thought experiment. CBJ puts Laine on waivers tomorrow (you can have him "free" if you pay his 8.7 for two more years). I promise you 31 teams pass. He's a NEGATIVE value asset at this point, meaning CBJ has to eat salary and/or attach sweeteners to get him out of town.

Mike what would Ottawa add to Chycrun to get Kaliev? I would think you are not suggesting 1 for 1 since Kaliev is an RFA and Chycrun only has 1 year left on his contract at what undoubtedly would be a higher cap hit. I highly doubt the league are waiting to make seals with the sens for one sided deals for the sens.

Pick up laine for the right price only,give him a shot in mtl. After all, he did hid rehab ,could a big player in the future.
The HBs should not trade for Laine. While a player"s confidence can be rebuilt, if he has no strong will to play hard and compete game after game, they will just end up with another Anderson.

That’s not what Waddel said. He stated CBJ could clean up the blue line, that’s easy compared to finding a natural goal scorer.
