In 1992-93, the San Jose Sharks lost 71 games – a record in the NHL. In the very next season, they had one of the most inspiring, legendary seasons any young team has ever had, and they did it with a new coach, players both old and young, and motherloving Arturs Irbe.

Another good one. Gotta love that 90s teal. Keep em comin big guy!
That screeching dolphin getting picked up on mic almost after every goal at the tank. Lol.
Babe wake up, Pinholes Graham did a video about the San Jose Sharks
These videos are fuckin unreal , and you included music from THE ENTITY !!!! Unreal
My Friday is even better since Pinholes Uploaded
22:06– Sabres 4, Islanders 1
Dale Hawerchuk (on the Sabres) scored two power play goals, allowing New York (??) to extend its winning streak to three games- lol nice proofread newspaper editor man
I still don’t understand how this channel hasn’t exploded. This is some of the best long form nhl content I’ve seen
It's pronounced IR-BEY, not IR-BA. Geez, you're so inconsistent!
My team would've won the cup but we had Patrick Nuh in net
Everyone in San Jose says “er-bay”
Sharks, Jaguars, Marlins and Hornets – the Mount Rushmore of 90s-era teal
this is one of the best titles i've ever seen on a youtube video
Thanks!
PATRICK….NAH
I doesn’t matter what you decide to show us. Whatever you decide to show us is golden! As a huge fan of everything from the 90’s this was awesome. I even dusted off my hockey cards from that era and put together this team in front of me.
Pinholes I was wondering what's the limitations on the Past part of Playoffs Past?
I realize it would be a sore subject for you but I think Canes Caps 2019 could be a wonderful series to highlight sometime down the road
I love the Yesteryear series a lot! Keep up the great content 😀
5:11 Wait, Arturs batted that out of mid-air?? Fuckin’ nice.
Best profile, doc, teal history. Statistics are brilliant, love your work.
The Cow Palace, 71 losses, Arturs Irbe, Red Wings, great NHL piece.
December 38th is, in fact, my favorite date!
All things aside, another monumental video. Always great and love the music choices as well
I salute you good sir
Great video but the pronunciation of Irbe was driving crazy
If the Sharks beat Toronto in Game 7, it would have been a #7 and #8 seed Western Conference Final against Vancouver, something that has only happened once in 2010 in the Eastern Conference Final with #7 Philadelphia taking down #8 Montreal.
I really like the presentation of there win loss record it reminded me of secret base good shit as always one of my favorite channels on the platform can’t wait for your new immense success
I'm a simple man, i see Irbe i like
48:23 I don’t know what’s weirder: the Leafs being called a juggernaut or the Leafs being in the Western conference.
I love videos like this cuz this isn’t a team I would ever think of, and yet this whole video I felt excited and happy for them like I was experiencing it in real time. These are always just so well done
Terrific storytelling as usual. Would love to see a video on a past canucks season.
Nourishment for the soul. Thank you grahammerman
2003 wild/avalanche please
I have been the biggest Sharks' fan east of the Mississippi river since day one… and I remember this season VERY well.
In saying that…. your video sir… made me cry happy man-tears! 💯
I used to collect all of the Sharks' hockey cards for many years back in those days and followed as closely as one could (pre-internet)…
this 93-94 season is/was EXACTLY as you said it was.
The BEST season a team could have (from a previous spot on the calendar 12 months prior)…
and it was filled with everything a fan could have asked for (aside from lifting The Cup) 🤌
Kudos on an excellent video… and for making me feel 23 again 🤜🤛
doug zmolek mentioned
NHL upsets in this era hit way harder than modern day ones ..league has come a long way
absolutely incredible video.
Oh, poor Johan Garpenlöv. He hit the post in OT with the Sharks in 94 and he would hit the post in OT with Sweden in 96…
Oh my god, he came back! Out of the clear blue (or teal)
Beauty of a vid. Love ur stuff.
Man those playoff goals at the Shark tank bring goosebumps. 93-94 was the season i became a hockey fan, thanks for this video
All these retrospective videos and documentaries of yours are amazing. Great narration and stunning presentation. My compliments for all the work.
2004 flames video pls
Slapshots, no gap control, random violence. Crazy times
I love your videos. Can you do a video on the 1994 nucks?
at one point Igor Larionov and pavel bure were on the same canucks team.
Are you gonna rank every nhl series this year?
That red wings jersey introduction was such a bad ass oh shit moment dude top notch 👌👌
