Great ideas in my mind. I think some fans get caught up in home grown talent and might overvalue them. Also agreed on the goalie situation. Cant keep those two down there forever. Have to see what they have to know how to attack offseasons.
I disagree so strongly that the sweep in the playoffs diminished the feat of making the playoffs. March and April was so exciting. They did it! They got in! They seriously hurt the penguins and Detroit. I enjoyed playoff hockey before playoffs started. They’ll be better next year.
Every player on this team except Ovi should be available for the right price. Including Lindgren and Strome.
Would love to see Mantha come back to Washington!
As to the goalies, I feel that in terms of who to keep is a matter of the time frame this team is looking to be among the elite. If it is 1 year, keep Lindgren. If it is 3 years and we can package Lindgren with someone else and a pick and get an elite scorer, then we should do it. As to Kuemper, in the short term, it is a wait and see. He could bounce back and play like a number 1 next season. Of course, it depends on him and if he wants to be moved for a better chance at being the number 1 netminder somewhere else.
