Word is that the Stars are the best road team in the NHL.
Great coach. Made adjustments to put a lot of pressure on Skinner who was finally dialed in for once in his life. This was the only team that saw how dangerous the Edmonton power play was and kept it simple by quickly throwing the puck down the ice instead of trying to maintain possession only to lose the puck to Oiler forecheckers who can put the puck in at any angle.

Should of go back to seed 1-8. More fair that way. And good teams don’t play each other right away. Wild card just stupid..
Our special teams were superior, both power play & penalty kill. Our goaltending was superior, especially when it really counted. Many of the Oilers unsung heroes rose to the occasion…the arrogant Dallas media & much of the so-called experts ate humble pie on the outcome! The majority of these individuals were absolutely one sided & dismissive in their pre-series assessments. Coming off as playground punks with their, “my dad’s bigger than yours!” routines. Totally disrespectful to the team with best record in the NHL since changing coaches after Remembrance Day. 17 & 8 game win streaks. The best combined special teams in the league, the 2 best players & potential game breakers in the game. Again, many of these supposed professionals didn’t even mention ANY of the Oilers strengths in their observations. Much of this drivel was either conscious or subconsciously motivated political/financial rhetoric…follow the money, for the naive or ignorant.

That was the weirdest clinching win by the team with the fewest shots in the history of the NHL. DeBoer has every right to be bewildered.

It always seem like Suter is involved in terrible losses. A stupid turnover last year changed the series. Tonight, an assist on the game winning goal with a stupid slash. He's a hack.

The number one and number two seeds are out of the playoffs. In regards to revenue, this is not what the NHL was hopping for. NY vs Dallas would have been more lucrative for the NHL especially when it comes to marketing.
Florida vs Edmonton is not as sexy as NY vs Dallas. Especially both teams being one and two in the NHL standings.
Stars lost the special teams battles, badly. Also lost the goaltending game…both tough to overcome. Pete’s a bridesmaid once again
