I’m hindsight, the 2-9-1 is maybe the best thing that could’ve happened to Edmonton and is a huge factor in how they’re here

after the comeback to the finals, dealing with all the goalies and high powered offenses, and not going to a single game 7 in the post season with little/no injury. AS LONG AS bob plays even decent, florida has it so locked down its not even funny.
NHL is rigged everyone !!! Dallas has so much more depth All Dallas had to do was take the body , they were told that its Mc Davids year as its not good for the NHL to see the best player in the world so frustrated

Born and raised in Edmonton, i'm in disbelief.
I've been watching hockey for only 20 years, whoever found the oilers new coach was/is a genius.
I was one of the ones that wrote off the Oilers early on, I honestly didn't see them recovering mentally from that start. I was wrong and they look incredibly strong mentally and physically steamrolling into the Cup finals. Congrats and good luck vs the Panthers!

Edmontons Power Play is the best I've ever seen in 37 years of watching Hockey. It's like a video game. Florida can not take penalties

As a flames fan I’ll never be able to cheer for them but it’s absolutely amazing what they’ve done and i definitely would be a liar to say it wouldn’t be nice to see the cup come back home

What's the record for the fewest SOG in a series clincher? Insane they only had 10 shots and still won. That's nuts. Congrats, Edmonton. I got a feeling we're in for a great finals. 👍

All of that work to be swept by a team with zero fanbase. The Panthers tossed the Rangers in 6. Skinner os not a Stanley Cup winning goal tender. You saw what they did to Shesterkin? If the Oilers make it 5 games they should be proud.

Tocchet deserved the Adams for his work with the Canucks. But the Oilers aren’t here without Knoblauch, Coffeey and the entire coaching crew that radically improved this team.
Florida has not gone up against a goalie like Stuart Skinner in these playoffs. They have no idea what they're up against
Two non-play-related moments from the Oilers this year gave me inexplicable confidence in them: the Draisaitl-McDavid bench taps (7:55), and the heated exchange between Perry and Kane which was brushed off with the response, "brothers fight." This team is tight, and it shows.

Would be cool if oilers won it after such a long time but they are going to have to play better against florida, they are a very complete team in my opinnion.

On paper these guys should’ve won a cup by now with all the first rounds first overall picks they’ve had. Their problem has been underperforming. Finally they show up.
I'm 43. I grew up with Gretz, Mario Stevie Y, Coffey, Messier, and so on. McDavid is probably the best I've ever seen. I say this as a Wings fan. The dude is just electric and a class act.
Looking forward to this final. I live 45 minutes from Sunrise, Fl. I've seen 50 + Pnathers games against the Wongs and Bruins (fiance is a huge Bruins fan). Imkind of hate the Panthers ngl 😂 But man they are good. I feel like it will.come down to the goalies. I think Edmonton has an advantage as Bob can be exploited. Trouble is getting the shots to actually get to the net. So we'll see.
