How did Sam Steel not break his neck here???

Sam Steel flipped over Darnell Nurse and landed completely vertically on his neck before going over. He didn’t look like it tickled by any means, but how he was able to skate away is something.

  1. I never even noticed any of this live. Nurse was inches away of getting booted in the face with skate blades… That would have not been pretty. A lot of horse shoes activated for both players in that play. Thankfully nobody seemed to get seriously hurt.

  2. I think he flips over his head but falls slightly sideways (towards the camera). If he went straight over, maybe it would have been a broken neck.

  3. Nurse has a careless disregard for other players lives, he should concentrate on staying in position rather than trying to splatter players all time !!

  4. Broken fingers … broken ankles … broken ribs … broken necks … meh, it's the NHL playoffs!
    👍👍

  5. One day there will be a death in our sport becoming more and more violent and all the hypocrites will say ‘oh so sad… we never saw it coming…’

  6. I still don't understand defensemen who like to hit players towards their goalie…luckily they were a bit further out so Skinner didn't get hit…but Steel's face must have had blue paint on it 'cause look where it hit (just an expression)
