What is Penguins president Kyle Dubas’s biggest priority this month?

Happy June! We’re getting closer to moves being made and that’s where Hunter and Patrick start Monday’s show. They discuss how the offseason can finally get underway for most teams and what Kyle Dubas’s first order of business should be. Hunter dives into why it should be a move for a third line center since he sees that as their biggest need for next season. Pat goes in a little bit of a different direction as he thinks Dubas will trade a player off the current team for the first move in June. They then dive into how active of an offseason this will probably be around the league with the cap going up before moving on for more Brayden Yager content. They analyze how his season came to an end over the weekend and how he took a massive step in his development during the season. Finally, they preview the Stanley Cup Final and give their picks for the big series.

  1. Sorry Pat but going with Hunter! Florida in 7. Cats, deeper team. They know what it feels like to be No.2. Just can't see them lose 2 in a row!!!

  2. pathers in 6 like panther nt back to backfinals and i feel there noway there onna lose back toback finals and puls paterds just beat 3 f top 5 goalies in league

  3. This will be a great Stanley Cup matchup: You got the speed and skill Oilers vs the gritty, rough and tough Panthers. I'm conflicted because as much as I would like to see the Panthers win it because it would be their first, McDavid and Draisaitl deserve to be champions and its a travesty that the Oilers managed has failed them up until this point. That said I think the Panthers will win it in 7. They're just so deep and strong, not to mention they have the edge in goaltending.

  4. No need to rush Smith move. He is a very good player who was tired because of the cup run. He may easily bounce back, and this contract is easy to move at TD.
Also, what you open cap space for? We basically have to sign one top player, and we have enough space for it. Hope we trade for 1,5C, but even if its Guentzel or Reinhart, there is a room for one of them

  5. Either way a former Penguin is winning the cup yet again, E-Rod and Hellberg for Florida and Cody Ceci for Edmonton, it's gonna be great. Also would be nice to see Okposo win a cup before he's done, bro deserves at least one with the career he's had.

Regardless of what happens, always remember, Jack Eichel did it first.
    Cats in 6 baby ;]

  6. Yeah Dubas really has his work cut out for him honestly, the Pens have so many needs. At the very least he needs to somehow acquire a few young skilled players, and also a physical player or two like Dakota Joshua. Preferably the lineup next season should be something like Rust-Crosby-young guy, young guy-Malkin-Bunting, Puustinen-Brayden Yager (if ready)-O'Connor, Dakota Joshua-Eller-Acciari. I intentionally left out Rakell, Reilly Smith, and Nieto. Nieto barely exists, and I really think Dubas should move Rakell and Smith.
