  1. Yea this stanley cup series will be between the most northern city in the nhl and the most southern city dont see that very often

  2. I’d love for McDavid to win a cup. But I have a soft spot for expansion teams winning their first cup. So hard to choose!

  3. I think Florida is the better all around team with the experience from last year.

Edmonton has expectations and the pressure of being in the final for the first time with this roster. However, I think their long suffering core and the best player in the world won't go down easy.

  4. All of Canada isn’t going to hear the end of it if Edmonton is the first team to break the curse I’m just saying…

    lol go panthers.

  5. My only criticism against Patrik Allvin; the buyout of (then)#23, now #91 OEL will score the final goal.

I'm gonna tear my hair out if that happens.

  6. I used to love the Oilers but I’d defnitiely with the Panthers on this one. Ever since last year’s faithful Bobrovsky save against Boston I’ve been with Florida and I really want them to win. Don’t much care about Perry’s or McDavid’s misery. Florida has ZERO cups and they’ve been playing their heart out and after overcoming the monsters that were the Rangers with a perfect goaltender….
Yeah, FLA in 5 or 6.

  7. For Florida, if they blow back to back Cup Finals without winning it all it's gonna sting for years to come…

  8. The Islander fan in me wants Kyle Okposo to win it. The Coyotes fan in me wants OEL to win it. The hockey fan in me wants Paul Maurice to finally win it.

I've been saying it since round 1, Florida just looks like they have been on a mission to win it. I'm really impressed with Edmonton in that it looks like they learned that defense isn't "just out score the other team" this year and it's working.

    Panthers in 6

  9. I normally would be of the mindset to cheer for the remaining Canadian team, but the Oilers beat my Canucks in round 2. No chance I can cheer for them.

I think most people have underestimated the Oilers, including me. Should be a fascinating series. Edmonton’s greatness on both the PP and PK means that Florida’s physicality might not be the edge it was earlier, because Edmonton can capitalize on a bad hit against while also retaliating back knowing they can stop most opposing PPs.

  10. panthers went against vasy, super hot swayman and Igor. i feel like skinner is a downgrade from them and panthers should totally score more

  11. This will be a good test about the popularity of the NHL in the states. There is plenty of star power and reasons to watch this series, but the teams in the Final are not widely followed in the US. I will be interested to see what the US ratings are like for the final.

  12. Advice for Edmonton: Shoot high on Bob. His glove side is weak. Rangers had success early but faded after Game 3. Good luck.

  13. As you have said no losing end teams have been annihilated. Even the capitals who were swept played two games with a one goal difference (empty net goal notwithstanding). When the 1951 Habs lost to the Leafs in five, were they annihilated? All of the games were ovetime experiences!

  14. am a florida fan. want florida to win. but i would not be opposed to oilers winning purely based on my respect for them as a team. and mcdavid deserves one. hopefully not now ;-;;; but he does~

  15. How do you comment about power plays and not mention Tampa when they had the best statistical power play in the league this year, and have consistently had one of the best power plays for the better part of a decade now? Call me biased, but it seems a bit disrespectful there.
