Details: Hughes posted a 10-6-1 record, including two shutouts, in 19 games with Lausanne HC in the Swiss National League in 2023-24. The 6-foot-4, 231-pound netminder earned a 1.73 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage.

In 18 playoff contests with Lausanne, Hughes recorded 11 wins to help his team reach the final. The 27-year-old goaltender maintained a 1.91 GAA and a .933 SVS, to go with a pair of shutouts.

Those are some impressive stats. Loving all these early signings from the Habs. Taking care of the small things so management can focus on the big picture.

Not bad, worst case scenario should be a good AHL backup.

Unfortunately, this probably means it’s the end of the line for Kaskisuo in Laval

A Connor AND a Hughes at the same time? HOF material

Good for him, he took a really hard path to get an NHL contract. 7 years in Switzerland after a Jr A career, not exactly conventional, but impressive in its own right.

As a Lausanne fan: fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Amazing goaltender, him leaving is going to hurt so much.

Jared Davidson and Connor Hughes. That’s 2 signings in less than a week. What could HuGo and mgmt. up to??

Feels like their filling the prospects with signings and may be planning on some big moves.
