Definitely temping to take a top RH defender with #2, but I’ve been watching film on this guy the last week. Kid has unique skills that can’t be passed up.
100% get him at #2! Demidov is an offensive weapon that will only get better. He has vision like nobody else. A RHD can come later, you DON'T pass on a kid like this!
They should if he does not reup in Russia. Otherwise Lindstrom. Plenty of D later or next year.
Bedard and Demidov would be a lethal duo. Bedard deserves to have a truly elite offensive forward to work with.
His contract is still in Russia. Bedard ELC only has 2 seasons left. Then he’s RFA, likely will get offer sheets as well. Levshunov can play right now unlike Demidov
Ivan Demidov is the choice at No. 2. He has the highest ceiling and fills the Blackhawks greatest need – someone in the prospect pool with elite scoring ability. One of the most glaring Blackhawks weaknesses throughout the 2023-2024 season was their total inability to generate any scoring threat on their power plays. Additionally, if Connor Bedard is not given a winger that can play alongside him, with similar vision and hockey IQ, he will consider leaving when his contract expires.

Right handed shot defenceman that is 6'2" and can play center as well. Artyom Levshunov should be considered. You have to ultimately go with the best available at that time though.😂
I’ve been watching a lot it videos of Demidov as well and the whole Russian thing aside I feel now we should take him we need offense first and then if KD can trade up in the top ten we could snag a Dman as well if not snag one of the bigger wings available in this draft I really like that Greentree kid!
"upper body injury" I know it's hockey, but that kind of vague report leaves so much room to wonder what happened. Probably not a big deal, but we all know there are guys who struggle to stay healthy. The Hawks will need to do due diligence.
