Don made a solid point on the radio this week. If you’re Drury you are doing everything in your power to extend him this summer – end of story. ~~Even if it means buying out the last year of his contract for $5.6M.~~ He is the cornerstone of this franchise and the longer we wait into next season the dicier this situation can become

Signing this guy for only 4 years was one of the worst decisions we’ve made in recent memory. He was obviously going to be the guy going forward. Hart nominee and Vezina in his first year on the new contract. Best playoff goalie every year. We should have this guy locked up at 7M and instead he’ll be paid over 10M.
