The honest truth with Marner is that the Leafs shouldn't trade him but he's also not worth over 10 mil a year. He should sign a 4 year 7 mil deal. In 4 years he'll either prove he's worth more and majorly cash in or he'll sign another deal likely around 7 mil again

Yes you do bring back the exact same group. Just make sure this time when you find a Lafferty recognize it so they don't let that guy go. Boston and NY couldn't beat Florida and even the powerful offense of the Oilers may not be able to stop Florida so why tear apart a team that is so close to getting there. The only player in the league that is better than Marner at feeding a goal scorer is McDavid. Leafs need to figure out how to stop the other teams from smothering Marner so he can't get Matthews the puck. Keep Tavares on the 3rd line and get a new center for the 2nd and you're right, they shouldn't have gotten Tavares.

The Leafs really need to look at what FLA did and trade some big pieces for an even bigger better piece that will put them over the top, all they need to do is find a GM foolish enough to do the deal…oops 😂

CBJ are in desperate need of a center that fits the timeline of their young players. Now with Don Waddell in the front office you can’t help but think Necas could end up in Columbus!

Kadri did not on his own win the cup it was a team effort. Avalanche were built to win the cup and the Leafs are not. That is more of a cop out to suggest that if Marner departs, he will go on to win the cup. Vegas is not afraid to make changes. Even if a player does well they go find another player and replace them. Leafs are not able to build a team properly when they give four players half their salary cap. No more core four, with no move clauses, that is just restricting the team.

I was in Saginaw at the Dow Event Centre for the championship game and it was INSANE inside the arena!!
Saginaw vastly outplayed the mighty London Knights through 2 periods and then the Knights came on with a vengeance tying it 3-3 in the 3rd. Then….the arena erupted as Saginaw scored with about 25 seconds left and that was it!!!!
Being a Habs fan I was thrilled to see Owen Beck score 2 G in the game and be named tournament MVP!!!!!
